Your "low point" as a Panthers fan

I read the thread and was opened it to post the 2010 Baltimore game.  That was the low-point for me.  The stadium that day was absolutely packed with Ravens fans.  It was the first time I ever heard the Panther's booed as they came out of their tunnel.

specifically, in 2010..... We were bad, but there was a point mid-season where we lost to the Saints 31-3 and then the next week, the Bucs 31-16.  Dropped us to 1-8.

That was the point when we started looking towards the draft.  The suck for Luck campaign had started and I couldn't help but think.  What is the point of being a fan of a team that is obviously trying to lose.

I'll go with the AZ game hands down.  Primetime home playoff game was big for us nationally.  I just seem to remember these gray clouds looming before and during the game and it proved a harbinger of things to come.  Not just Delhomme's implosion, but then the extension, then we thought we hit gold with Pickles in the draft only to have the 2010 season.  It still seems like a blur.

No question

I was upstairs in the press box for Jakes fateful night against the cards.

Some CBS douche didn't show so I was on the glass. Before that first INT the situation just kept getting better and better. That seat was icing on top of icing.

Laptop out on desk in front of me ( to perpetuate illusion of working), swivel chair, buffet.

Man what a night it could have been.

Instead all I heard were supposedly silent and objective reporters(unwritten rule in there) moan and groan about the biggest choke job they had ever witnessed.

It was bad. Longest ride back to Gboro ever.

2001 hands down. Losing 15 straight in one season (an NFL record at the time, thanks Det!) was brutal.

While absolutely awful, I still think the 2010 season was worse. At least in 01 there was a sense that the FO was committed to winning games and putting pieces in place so we could be successfull.

The worst part of the 2010 season was knowing that JR was throwing it to be in a better financial situation for the new players agreement. I almost stopped being a being a panthers fan all together, if the orginzation didn't care if won games, as a fan why should I?

... I'm still pissed about that

There were some hard eras to be a fan. I stuck with my boys from the first snap and will always cheer for them.2001 was hard because alot of those games we still had a chance. Superbowl sucked period. I remember watching the confetti as our players looked towards the field, that was rough Enough said there. 2010 was one of the hardest seasons to watch. You pretty much knew once we were down that it was a wrap. Sad to say, I was normally drunk by halftime, That being said, I am excited about our Panthers this year. This could be very special.....

Just to mix it up, the Falcons loss for me was pretty devasting because my first thought when we punted the ball was, "somehow we're going to find a way to lose." It's just sad how my expectations have been lowered over the years. At least with the Cardinals loss I went in the game with hope.

I think this season is going to be the breaking point for a lot of fans one way or another...
