Let the overreaction Begin.

Remember when the jets couldn't score a td in the preseason and everyone says its just preseason? There isn't some switch you can just turn on. The sky isn't falling by any means but you damn sure better be concerned that our offense hasn't had a td drive thus far.

No offense but this happens every preseason...and I make the same argument every preseason.

It's JUST as annoying when people overreact about the preseason than when people DONT react to the preseason.

Anybody who watched the game tonight and mutters to themselves that "it's just preseason" hasn't been watching this team for the last two-three years.  The same problems keep coming up...Not sharp or disciplined.  Cam over throwing receivers and trying to do everything.  Poor adjustments on defense.  Poor redzone and third down efficiency.

Is it the end of the world and is the sky falling?  No.  Does this game make me feel any better about the problems this team continues to have? No.

I say let the people overreact and let the people under react.  And let the sane people in the middle worried about the actual problems and be happy about the actual strengths.

    • I presented that scenario because this is a home game and we seemed to have improved in some capacity in that area as of recently. The problem with the possibility of sweeping the Bucs is this team has had a habit of quickly falling victim to momentum shifts. The Bucs are coming off a bitter loss the same as the Panthers but the Bucs have a much better proven track record this time of year and they have performed when the pressure is on unlike our Panthers. We have a shot against the Seahawks here in BOA but that is a matchup that could quickly get out of hand because they are a well coached team and that goes back to the momentum shifts I mentioned. I just don't see this team beating the Bucs in their stadium to close the season. Tall order to say the least.
    • I’d give it another year for Sanders and Evans, I don’t much care what you do with Tremble’s spot. Let him have another year or maybe replace him. Haven’t looked at his contract so that may be the determining factor.
    • Following the crazy up down pattern we finish 9-8 with an improbable sweep of TB, and lay an egg in the home playoff game.  I don’t know if I can sign on to sweeping TB but I suppose it’s possible, they aren’t really that good this year.    ps I can buy beating TB Sunday and losing to Seattle.  Then it just gets to can you fluke one game. Any given Sunday. So we’ll see.
