Lafail?

After one game, all you Gettis closet nuthuggers bring out the Lafail moniker again. You realize his development will prove to be a vital asset and having both Gettis and Lafell ready to go with Smitty will only help us. They will be used interchangeably and will only help in getting Olsen and Smith into space.

If the D still feels like covering Smith, we will at least have a competent third receiver, Gettis or Lafell, for the first time in Cams career.

We should be celebrating this revelation instead of pooing on one guy to put the other on a pedestal. Still need oline help to maximize our wideouts.

I ain't knocking gettis but all this hype against the backups of a suspect secondary is premature

His 600 yards with crap QBs with a Jeff Davidson run offense as a rookie was a miracle. I think you look to see if all his tangible traits are as good as they were. Until he plays against the ones it's anyone's guess. With our offensive line, next week may not be a great judgement week because Cam will be running for his life.

This has been a good preseason for our WR corps.

Besides Smith, Lefell has improved, AE has developed out of nowhere and now we are trying to figure where to put Gettis and Hixon coming back this week. Beats the heck out of the past several seasons when there was Smith and only Smith.

The problem so far is that our QB crew has been a bit off. Basically a 50% performance from our 3 QB's.

Granted that the Oline is stinking it up, but I would worry about QB accuracy at this point above the WR corps.

    • Yes message boards will always include that sort of stuff… However, this place has been a cess pool since the team took Bryce Young over CJ Stroud. It becomes a problem when it is accepted and promoted, which it has been here (even by at least one mod). Many posters sole purpose on this board is to try to dunk on others for having different opinions. We just had one write a novella on how talking about Bryce Young’s game winning drives “needs to stop”…after a win. They don’t want real conversation. It “needs to stop”. There are many posters here who literally only show up after losses to dead thread and try to dunk on others about the QB (MRenshaw is an easy example). I really don’t see much of that happening the other way around. There’s too many people that would rather the team be bad so they can feel justified for constant doom and gloom and negative opinions. It’s been pointed out by many over the past couple years. This just isn’t a place to have football discussions anymore because of the constant hyperbole. If you don’t subscribe to “Bryce Young is the worst QB ever who can’t throw the ball further than 5 yards and is the reason why we lose any game we lose and doesn’t help in any game we win”, then you are labeled a Bryce Young Stan.
    • if you believe he is watching every NFL game.....every week.....go right ahead.  I get it, he said something you like.  But that's like believing the talking heads on the ESPN shows are watching all the games.  You think Stephen A is watching the Panthers every Sunday too?  If Stephen A needs to go on First Take he certainly can pretend like he has watched every snap any player on the roster has taken lol.   No one is that isn't a Panther fan has been watching the 9-25 career go down every Sunday.  Or even a lot of Sunday's.  You know who knows more about Bryce Young than Long? The collective huddle.  What they are reviewing is stat sheets, highlights and in summaries.  It's an old formula lol.
