When we pick up an O-lineman....

Recommended Posts

At this point, it should be a given that we'll be bringing someone in after the first round of cuts. Question is...what position?

Future cap situation being what it is, I'm assuming we'll only make one signing. So, which position needs to be upgraded more?

Nothing is a given. if it's not done, its a throw away season. The Red can suck it i'm saying it.

Honestly, I don't think picking up a lineman (or two) will be enough. They would have to be proper vets. The entire chemistry of the line is way off. They're all bumping into each other and wandering around like headless chickens.  Guard pulls are painfully hilarious to watch with this team...I would hate to see what a screen pass would look like

Some of our writers were tweeting that Amini remained in full pads and it didn't seem too serious. Hopefully that is the case but figured I would let you know. I am more worried about Barner at this point as far as seriousness of injury goes.

Well that is good news....

And I agree about Barner....with poor OL play the small quick RB might be the best RB on the team

    • His size will always limit him.  Do t kid yourself
    • When a team has EXPECTATIONS you have to show them that your fandom and praise is EARNED.  People would be mad if the they lost two one goal competitive games like 2023 but they wouldn't have gotten booed out of the building because the effort and competitiveness would be there but to lose in THAT fashion at home with your entire top line going free lance and saying fug this yeahhh.
    • Well with back to back road games to open the season again we really can't afford a "slow start" at least not for the psyche of the fanbase that is already at rock bottom from years of losing. I think that will depend on our approach to preseason this go around. But I do agree the makings of a culture change could be big for us. At the same time we heard talk of this last year and then we got the doors blown off multiple times. I can agree with you it's best to try to maintain perspective until we get closer to the midway point of the season. The main things I want to see early on even if we aren't necessarily winning is spark and toughness from the offense and defense and at least keeping games close.
