Hardy wants to get paid.

that's your opinion.

i think he wouldn't entertain going to a place where he can't win. we turn into a contender. watch what happens.

He has enough confidence to believe he can turn anyone into a contender.

Looks at his football past and tell me if there is more change or stability. As much as people don't want to believe it, Cam may not be a Panther until retirement.

maybe i read more interviews than you do. where cam states i finally have realized i can't do this by myself. you get into the pros and everybody is on your level. everybody is an all american, everybody has won awards. these are the elite and i can't do it by myself.

well zod, i just flat out disagree with you. could he leave? yea it could happen. but it would be at the detriment of this football team imo and i don't think Cam would leave for more money if we have a contender here. Cam is not Hardy.

but i'm done with this discussion because this is all speculation and i'm riding a high right now from a great game from our Defense.

Flacco was making it rain TD's in the playoffs. He was far far far from "game managing"

He had a great playoff run, but Flacco's play style is, and always will be, a game manager. He has a big arm and isn't asked to throw more than 25 times a game on average. He is a very good game manager, but that's all he is. Jake was a game manager with a gunslinger mentality when he did throw the ball. Jake also had a few great playoff runs and one spectacular superbowl, but no one was mistaking Jake for Tom Brady after his superbowl play. Let's not be fools here.

so throwing for 3800 yards and 22 TDs is considered a game manager? Flacco attempted 33 passes for over 280 yards and 3 passing TDs in the super bowl. that sounds more then a game manager.

Those are exactly game manager type statistics.......

If CJ doesn't restructure I can't see paying Hardy. I'll take the minimum 3rd round compensatory pick if tagging him after this year and trying to shop him doesn't work.

Sucks that our cap is so out of balance that it would force us to lose good talent, but the situation is what it is and we can't toss out money that we don't have.

It's mind boggling how some people are having even a little doubt in Cam when he obviously needs more weapons, the media talk about Carolina needs to "get the kid help" (heath Evans) until he has that and not just weapons but coaching too I will ride with him...he is a winner but needs more tools...Cam in my opinion is far from a Mark Sanchez with only two good years and can't see him being a Alex smith etc

I'll have to disagree with ya Floppin.

No worries :)

looking at the gif from last night in your signature, Wes Horton blew up his man to help Keek get in the backfield. If he and Frank can continue to improve, then maybe Hardy would be let go

Trade Hardy now and get something out of him IF, and only IF, you think you can get something that will help us THIS YEAR! A good, solid, starting not a backup OL and picks. Otherwise, keep him and try to win a superbowl. Besides, if he is playin for a big contract next year, he will be playing lights out! Then next year we can start Alexander.

So in short, keep him, unless you can get a solid starting OL, other solid player, or high quality pick PERIOD

    • You do, the guy who doesn’t appear to grasp projection.  as the entire board knows, I do in fact, take positions.  The position here I have taken is that Bryce Young is a weak bottom tier starting QB, without NFL starting QB tools, that we must move on from.
    • The OP for one. Asserting that people blamed Bryce for the loss in the title of the thread. That was not the prevailing sentiment at the time this thread was created. Very much a minority thing, I don’t remember but maybe one person if that, putting it on Bryce as the main reason. Troll thread. Did a good job too. Look at the pages.  Someone counting up the draft picks as 10 on offense and 10 on defense or whatever the number was, today or yesterday - of which the offensive ones were heavily 1s and 2s and the defensive picks were heavily day 3 and declaring that proof that the offense wasn’t favored like people claim. The obvious neglect we watched for two years. I spent time refuting that bullshit because someone needed to.  People saying we are bad horrible people and hate poor lil Bryce for no reason, as if it is a personal thing. Constantly.   Along the same lines is people saying we non Bryce fans would rather lose than have him play well and the team wins. That we are mad when the team wins   Point illustrated.
