Rivera says we are done signing linemen.

I do respond to you when I think you are wrong. I don't have the same obsessive leanings you do such that I always pound on the same issues all the time like Williams for example. The difference between you and I is that I try to base my opinions on what the experts think or what is been reported from the horses mouth. I do speculate sometimes but rarely base my opinion on pure speculation which is what you are doing here. Most people just ignore you because you go on and on and try to overwhelm people trying to get in the last word. I am just one of the few willing to take you on.

You say that...I would argue you go on just as much and bring no greater support. You also like to debate for the sake of debating like I.

There are plenty of differences though...for one your posts tend to get a tad more mad than mine and you debate getting much closer to trying to slam actual posters.

Like I said, we will always have Cam and Luke. A positive.

Isn't that what you would say if the owner said that he was too cheap to fire a coach with that many years left on his deal?

So you don't thing inheriting a D that was a mess, being over the cap, having a coach that knows it's put up or shut up, and an owner telling you, you can't hire your guys is not a nasty situation?

Our situation is like most of the others out there, you get a new GM, new coaches, FO, and for that matter many new players are soon to follow.

No our situation was not like Cleveland for example who didn't have a franchise quarterback, had an inept front office and are expected to lose again this year. Did Cleveland win the last 4 out of 5 to finish the season??

The point is whether Gettleman at the point we hired him could have even hired his own people if he wanted to. It would have been hard to assemble a better staff and likely would have been worse.

So why not clue us all in on who you believe to be the experts, we'll all get on their bandwagon, believe everything they say, hence, what you say, and there will be no need for a message board.

See, the experts say it, it must be true, because you think so. Since you agree with your experts, we'll all agree too and everything will be hunky-dory... just like Jim Jones, David Koresh, etc...

You keep on thinking that RR and DG are buddy buddy, eat at bojangles every day with the Big Cat, and they are happy with 8-8's.

I will stick with history here, and unless we are in the playoffs this season (doubtful) that DG will clean house this offseason.

Only "lifer" I could see staying is Smith, everyone else will be on the chopping block.

I hope that you are correct, as that would mean we have a good season coming up, but I don't think that's the way its going to unfold.

There are lots of experts I listen to.  Gil Brandt comes to mind and I like Pat Kerwin and Tim Ryan on NFL Sirius.  Other folks.  Of course I listen to guys like Gettleman and Rivera when they speak since that is the horse's mouth.

As for Jim Jones and David Koresh, you must be channeling them.  I thought they died.......

Again why so angry and butt hurt.  No one said you can't post whatever you want.  But if you post crap with no evidence you will be called out like I did.  I figured you would know that by now...

Stop making things up again.  I didn't say they were buddy buddy. I don't have a clue about what they say privately to each other.  That is the point. I called you out because you acted as if they weren't close and Gettleman didn't want Rivera and was forced to take him.  I called BS and you have no evidence to back out your claims.  Everything else is just you getting all butt hurt and trying to save some sort of face here.

Just let it go until you have some evidence to the contrary and then present it. Othrwise you are going from wrong to ridiculous.

Only think I'm angry about is your personal attacks when you don't agree with a post.

Instead of getting shitty and childish about it, why not explain how you derive your opinion, instead of just saying, "Well, that has no evidence to back it up and you're stupid for posting such a thing and, ...and..."

It's all I'm saying...

Not "butt hurt" about anything.

I didn't say they were or weren't close, I just said that new GM's usually mean new coaching staffs, and I fully expect that to happen.

And how on Earth am I wrong or ridiculous?  I'm simply stating what usually happens.

Again, not saying that it will, just that it's very tough to think otherwise.

P.S. where is your proof that DG wants to keep RR around long term?  Contract extension.....bringing in coaches on anything other than 1 year deals.....anything?

Who attacked you personally or is acting childish but you?  I said that you have no evidence to back up your opinion and until you show said evidence am right.  Otherwise present it. How is that childish and shitty?  I thought a message board was where you voiced your opinion and showed evidence or reasons for why you felt that way.  I didn't realize it was wild speculation without a shred of evidence for why you said what you did.  Maybe that is why I struggle here sometimes with posters.  I actually expect you should have a reason to say what you did.  Silly me..........

    • Here’s a summary of the JJ and Luke podcast transcript. Opening / Bryce Young Fifth-Year Option     •    JJ: Breaking news — Panthers picked up Bryce Young’s fifth-year option at $25.9M, guaranteed, coming in 2027. Combined with his 2025 salary of ~$6M, that’s $31M over two years — called it a “no-brainer.”     •    Luke: Enthusiastic about the move. Highlighted Bryce’s improving TD/INT ratios (11/10 → 15/9 → 23/11) and the value of entering year three with Dave Canales. Noted $25M is a bargain relative to the $60M top of market. Luke’s Personal Update — Charlotte Christian Football     •    Luke: Working with Charlotte Christian school football program, which hired a new head coach. Coaches include Greg Olsen, Luke, and Greg’s dad Chris Olsen (a New Jersey State coaching Hall of Famer).     •    JJ: Jokingly quipped that Charlotte Christian’s coaching staff is “the world’s greatest” — a Fox analyst, a Hall of Famer, and the best Panthers RB ever — all coaching middle school football.     •    Luke: Praised Chris Olsen’s deep football knowledge spanning decades and his ability to connect with kids. Round 1, Pick 19 — Monroe Freeling, OT, Georgia     •    JJ: Panthers were on the clock and submitted their pick almost immediately — a sign of confidence and preparation. Freeling is 6’7”, 320 lbs, played in the SEC in a pro-style system.     •    Luke: Loved the pick. Emphasized you can never have too many quality offensive linemen. Noted Freeling’s size, athleticism, and arm length as key traits. Said the pick also reflects team’s philosophy of drafting great people, not just great players.     •    JJ: Noted reporter Darren Gantt compared Freeling favorably to Jordan Gross — bigger, heavier, and faster — as a potential franchise left tackle.     •    Luke: Pointed out that young players like Freeling still have physical development ahead of them, comparing the trajectory to Christian McCaffrey’s growth from age 20 onward. Round 2, Pick 49 — Lee Hunter, DT, Texas Tech     •    JJ: Panthers traded up from 51 to 49 (pick swap with Minnesota) to grab Hunter. Played audio from Panthers area scout Kaden McLuhan, who scouted Hunter.     •    Scout Kaden McLuhan (audio): Said Hunter’s size is immediately striking, and that everyone around him spoke glowingly about his character, energy, and love for the game.     •    Luke: Praised Hunter as a massive (6’3”, 320 lbs, ~34” arms) two-gap nose tackle who fits perfectly in the Evero defense. Compared his prospect profile to Akiem Hicks. Said having Derek Brown, Bobby Brown, Derrick Brown, Terson Wharton, and now Hunter creates varied body types that stress offensive linemen.     •    JJ: Noted Hunter ranked third among all prospects in run-stuff rate and sixth in interior pass-rush win rate — addressing a perception that he couldn’t rush the passer. Rounds 3–7 Highlights     •    Luke: Highlighted WR Brazle (3rd round, 6’4”, 437 speed, 1,000+ yards at Tennessee) as the vertical threat the offense needed. Also praised OL Sam Heck (5th round) as a technically sound player whose “short arms” caused him to fall but who has proven himself.     •    Luke: Mentioned CB Will Lee (6’1”, 33” arms) fits the Panthers’ DB prototype — big, long corners.     •    Luke: Praised S/LB hybrid Zaki Wheatley (5th round, 6’3”) as a big nickel similar to Trayvon Merek.     •    Luke: Excited about the linebacker competition between Devin Lloyd, Trevvin Wallace, and Claudin Cherless.     •    JJ: Noted Panthers had the #1 “steal/overreach” rating in the entire draft — drafting players lower than consensus big boards projected. Around the League     •    Luke: Admitted being “a little jealous” that the Miami Dolphins drafted LB Jacob Rodriguez (Luke’s favorite LB in the draft). Has personal connections to Miami’s coaching staff (Jeff Hafley, DC Shawn Dugen — a childhood teammate).     •    Luke: Also noted Miami’s selection of OT/G Kaden Proctor out of Alabama, who will likely move to guard. League Trends — Bigger Tight Ends / 12 & 13 Personnel     •    JJ: Observed the NFL saw its highest run rate in ~11 years (~52%) and a notable pivot toward big blocking tight ends in this draft.     •    Luke: Explained the cyclical nature of NFL offense/defense evolution — as defenses get smaller to match spread offenses, teams counter with bigger personnel (12/13 formations), which then forces defenses to get bigger at the nickel/“big nickel” spot. Called it an ongoing arms race.
