Why is Bill Belichick never the HC for the Patriots on Madden?????

 

Because he is not a member of the NFLHCA (NFL Head Coaches Association), which licenses the game. Belichick is the only NFL head coach who has chosen not to join the association.

you did something wrong then. every time i do a fantasy draft either my offense or defense is absolutely stacked silly and the other one is decent.

 

 

in other news, i drafted a 3'4'' tight end. yes, you read that correctly. it was like a 7th round pick that i simmed and i didn't realize he was 3'4'' until he somehow snuck on the field during a kickoff or something and he looked like an action figure.

 

 

also, it's incredibly painful to surf through the franchise menu system in comparison to 2k's menus.

 

and is there any way to play on all-madden when i'm playing head to head online? i feel like newbs get away with a lot of stupid poo on all-pro.

 

That is absolutely hilarious.

 

I just wanted to say, I still haven't played online to crush anyone yet...  I just haven't really felt comfortable in dedicating that amount of time to it while I'm home with my children, nor should I.  So, I'll have to get on there and do it one night, once my wife gets home and I feel like it.

 

But, I have continued my owner mode and on whatever the default skill level is, without adjusting the rosters going into the season, I have had some interesting developments, lol...

 

*Signed Hardy to a 4 or 5 year extension like two games into the season - he goes onto have 28 sacks 15 games into the season, lol.  As I said, I didn't edit any attributes before starting it, so that was all Hardy (and myself).  Glad I wrapped up that extension early.  CJ has had a subpar season and seems to have a harder time shedding blocks than KK, Star, and Hardy do.

 

*Cam set the season record for TDs thrown, as well as the single game record.  I threw 8 in one game, and he currently has like 63 through 15 games (and he's still the leading rusher, thanks to the option).

 

*Smitty set the record for most TD catches in a single season.  I think he has 27 right now.

 

*Ginn is on his way to the pro bowl, which is crazy considering there is no longer a specific ST roster spot.  I developed a lot of these guys throughout the season with XP, so I've got his catch and CIT ratings up to make him pretty awesome as a receiver now.  BUT, he's making the pro bowl because he's done well as a receiver, but moreso because I have returned 4 kicks and 4 punts for TDs apiece.

 

*For whatever reason, I never get tackle numbers up to realistic levels.  Keek has like 70-some tackles, but he also has like 17 TFLs IIRC, which apparently the computer finds to be unfair, so it doesn't even list him as the league leader, lol.

 

*Thanks to no BWill on the roster, I ended up signing Morrah and Clay Harbor, and it essentially is the same TE corps we had last year...  Minimal output from the 2 and 3, but Olsen is killing it.

 

*Secondary, Godfrey is on his way to the pro bowl.  Signed Mikell to start the season and he's holding it down as well.  I signed Stanford Routt to start the year, but after he suffered an injury, I benched him and now have Capt. and Norman starting.  Norman has been beaten several times for TDs, but overall is progressing and has 2 INTs for the year.

 

*The OL is complete patchwork, lol...  Had a bunch of trades and FAs I signed.  But, my current starting line is Gross, Bruce Campbell, Kalil, Amini, and some rookie RT I picked up after cuts whose name escapes me right now.  Campbell leads the league in pancakes, lol.

 

I've got to get started playing online though because I grow tired of the repetitiveness of offline play, but I'm good after awhile.  Not to toot my own horn, but when I was playing online 3 years ago, I was among the best, I just didn't play often.  Only time I really ever lost was to laggers or glitchers, but it appears they got rid of a lot of the crap that used to be exploited (like nanos, manually placing the LBs over gaps, etc.).  So, I'd like to get back into it competitively, but I'll just keep on getting my Gettle on for now.

Has anyone noticed any wierd glitches? I started a franchise and made a new coach. In one of my pre-season games the coaches eyes looked like both were swollen shut, lol. I laughed my ass off but it was really wierd looking. I also had a weird lens flare glitch that started in the second half of the game and lasted the rest of the game. It looked like there were spotlights shining on the o-line.

This was on the PS3.

I was able to get our current roster from Madden share. Brandon Williams had to be tweaked a little bit, as he was low 50's. I bumped him up to mid 60's and he has dominated. Brian Folkerts for some reason was my starting RT with an 83 overall rating and a massive contract that I'm pretty much stuck paying him because the cap hit to cut him was massive. Sweet.

 

 

Anyways, again, I'd swear there is some douchebag RG3 fanboy EA programmer somewhere who installed some subroutine into the game to freeze up everytime Cam is dominating in franchise mode. Started out 18-20 earlier (one drop, one throw away) and the game panicked and shut down. Never happens if I'm not dominating. Happens so much that I could essentially label it broken.
