With Friday coming up,  a full weekend of college games (especially South Carolina/GA),  what gonna be the menu on Sunday for you guys?  Mines is below..but I like to hear what others are doing.  Post some recipe links if you got em.

 

 

I go with the:

 

Always football classic Rotel Meaty Cheesy Burger dip. I mix sausage and ground beef myself

Wings...I think that's a requirement.  Also I just learned to make my own blue cheese dressing... I don't know why people don't teach classes on this.  Years of eating that store bought crap...I feel cheated.

 

Beer soaked Brats... I use the cheapest beer I can find because it tends to taste better....go figure.  Also don't be scared to kick it up a notch on the spicyness.

The coup de grace  BBQ Brisket Sandwich with sour cream and herb sauce... on Publix 2 day old rye bread. 

Wouldn't even post a recipe about brisket because everyone got their own opinion on brisket. It's like telling you how to make love to your wife (or significant other).  All I can say is low and slow. Low and slow. However the sauce you put on is imperative, important, necessary, yada yada.... My friend says a good brisket needs no sauce. BBQ people are snobs.

Heildelberg Pilsner...I'm not a beer connoisseur but I like it. 

 

Pumpkin Crisp and Breyers Vanilla ice cream...

Yeah yeah,, I know.   At first I was like ..Pumpkin?  Really ..make a real pie...then I tried it.   OMGWTF!!!  Also if you don't go Breyers at least go Mayfield.  I mean cut corners on other stuff but not the vanilla ice cream.

Wings on the grill, chili on the stove, beer in my belly  Let's just say it's a good thing I'm going for my physical tomorrow and not on Monday.  I like to get it out of the way before the season starts, because I know it will be trash from now til January.  Maybe February...

Braised rotisserie Pandion haliaetus, or Osprey, commonly referred to in the Pacific Northwest as a Seahawk.  Tastiest when, prior to cooking, tenderized by pounding the meat with a mallet shaped somewhat like a large Panther paw. Serve with ice cold celebratory beverage of your choice.

 

UPDATE:  I noticed some of you are really enjoying this post, so I thought I'd help you out if you want to try the recipe.  You'll find it in The Outdoor Cookbook of Fuggin' Fowl Recipes by Wile. E.       I swear I’ve seen the writing on the wall since Chuba come back that Dowdle is going to be traded. He is flat out a harder and faster runner than Hubbard and made the offense move better than Chuba, gained more yards per carry and willed the Panthers to victory with two massive performances. But for some inane reason, the coaching staff hasn’t let Dowdle continue his hot streak. There have been trade rumors and I feel like if the Panthers get a mid round pick in return the Panthers will take it. They drafted Etienne and Hubbard is on a big contract. It makes no sense, he’s looked better than any other Panthers player on the offense this year, but he’s not getting playing time with Hubbard back and it seems he’s being shopped for trade.  This team is just infuriating sometimes and it’s no secret why every year they seem to struggle.

      1) The decision to try to trot the FG team on the field to kick a field goal before halftime was completely ridiculous. You are down 16. The offense can come back to the line faster just line up and take another shot.    2) Whatever in the hell this Rico/Chuba thing is sucks. Everyone from the huddle to the media to random other fans on X are in disbelief. Chuba either isn’t what we thought he was or he has lost a step. I’m almost positive the FO doesn’t want to look stupid for paying him and / or Canales doesn’t have the courage to tell him he’s number 2.
