Cardinals quietly #2 in rush defense...#1 in yards per attempt.

Our Defense will give our Offense a chance to wear their Defense out by 3rd quarter.  End of story!!

Gooooo  Panthers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. The Cardinals are one dimensional offensively...and that dimension is not very good. They only rush for around 78 ypg. Carson Palmer is pedestrian. Their pass protection has been decent, but the Carolina defense should put together another dominant performance.

Actually, you can also question whether Carolina's offensive rushing stats are "for real".

I personally think they are, but the competition has been questionable...

Seattle ranks 18th in rush defense

Buffalo ranks 24th

Giants rank    28th

Of course, the numbers Carolina has put up against them contributes to those stats, but still.

I am interested to see what this team can do on the ground against a really top tier unit.

Who's the top tier unit?

Rams- 32nd at 2.0 ypc

Detroit- 22nd at 3.6

Saints- 26th at 3.4

Tampa- 19th at 3.6

Only one good running team there, normally and Azi focused on that not only as their strength, but as their only hope of getting their rookie QB some help.

I think the level of competition has been tougher for us. I like the good guys in this match up.

    • Rags lost again. All is right in the hockey world.
    • He’s responsible for two drafts classes. The first was one of the worst drafts I’ve ever seem. The second one is showing a ton of promise. I’m somewhere between skeptical and hopeful on Morgan.
    • I'm a big fan of Dan. His ability to find productive players deep in the draft will pay off.  I'm going to give him 1.5 draft classes right now, because I do think it's a little unfair to evaluate his first year when he got the job in January, especially when we went into that draft not having a first round pick.  XL and Brooks are still big time TBD players. Both still have incredibly high ceilings, but both have also given us legitimate reasons to have a lot of pause. Trevin Wallace, Chau Smith Wade and Jatavion Sanders have IMO outplayed their draft position early in their careers. That's a great thing. He also got Coker and Demani Richardson as UDFAs that year. Given the situation we were in, I really don't mind the gamble on the high ceiling guys. Still may work out, still may not, but if you made a checklist of ideal situation for an NFL GM to walk into, ours was near the bottom of that list.  Every single 2025 pick is contributing in some way. That typically doesn't happen. I am absolutely blown away by this draft class 6 games in. Even the best GM's miss on occasion, and we can't expect Dan to be 100% on drafts moving forward. Ryan Fitzgerald was an excellent find as well.  Comparing our last two drafts to the previous few is pretty shocking. Can you imagine this season without our Rookies? It would not be good. Additionally, this roster only has 6 players with more than 6 years of experience, and two of those are specialist.  The next step is equally important, and still very much TBD. We have to avoid Cap Chaos.
