Probably not. But we don't have a scrub either and he is progressing at a normal rate as other now elite QBs.

I agreed with your point earlier, but not sure I agree with this.

Cam actually does not seem to be progressing, he is either the same or regressing a bit.

Some of it is coaching, some is bad O line and average at best WR's, but I think some of the blame has to be laid at Cam's feet as well.

Said it in another thread, but I was nervous about Cam's lack of PT when he came out, but decided to give him a few years to work it out.  At some point he will either take a step forward, or not.  Either way, I think that he stays here, and a coach hopefully figures out a way to win with him.

Cam like Favre is a hot and cold player.  He can make you say WTF about 4 different ways on Sundays.  I think that he will always be that way.

I think cam showed a lot of growth the first half, stared pressing really hard in the second half.

But hey when your coach abandons the run and says "Here you do it all" well.

I am talking overall QB development.

He still has footwork, accuracy, and pocket presence issues that are and were there in his rookie seasons.

Yeah, what is the matter with that guy.

Everybody knows that all the other good QB's completely mastered their mechanics and accuracy by their third NFL season.

I said progression, not mastery, big ole difference there, but thanks for helping out.

Cam is still having major issues with footwork, ball placement, touch, and pocket presence, I am not bashing him, just pointing it out.

I would like to see some significant steps forward in a QB's 3rd year starting, hopefully we will see that over the next 12 games.

God you guys are touchy about this cat.

You just cant compare two QBs like that. Rodgers sat behind Favre for like 3 years. Plus, Cam didn't play 4 years in a pro style offense like others. It comes down to coaching, protection, weapons, and his on decision making among other things.

Cam is not THE problem. Does he need to improve? Yes! However, Cam hit receivers in the hands and they dropped it. How is that on Cam? If those catches by Smith and lafell are caught. Different ball game. He HONESTLY couldn't have thrown them better. Should have went 10 for 10. Cam will grow, surround him with talent!

Newsflash here for you: It takes more than 2 full seasons and 4 games for a quarterback to make progress.

Let's also not forget that said quarterback has essentially wasted all this time with a now lame duck head coach.
