Not sure but I can't wait for this season.  The Panthers being terribad is a big reason too.  I hope we get to see a lot of Big Al in the post dominating and Kemba able to run a true pick and roll with Al and Zeller.

being a UNC/Panther fan, I can't wait for basketball season to start....as always.

How incredible is it that my hopes for happiness are riding on the Bobcats???

Who are the Panthers? The only football I know of is what some Americans call soccer.

(Just pretending the NFL isn't actually a thing so that I can pretend to be happy)

P.S. I cannot wait for NBA season. As another poster mentioned, the Bobcats might not be good, or anything more than a 27-30 win team for that matter, but I'm extremely interested in seeing if Clifford is able to change the identity of this team. I'm also excited to see how Kemba, MKG, Biz (less so), and Taylor has developed. Lastly, I want to see if Henderson can stay aggressive from day one and watch Big Al go to work in the low post. I'm not sure Big Al will really help our PnR game a whole lot (only played PnR 9.1% of the time last season, but was effective with 1.01 ppp (ranked 59th)), but at least he will open things up for our offense and get our guards better looks.

Since I've tuned in, 8-0 run for the Hawks with some lazy and terrible ball being played by the Cats. Kemba picking up his dribble behind the 3 point line, lazy passes, just playing out of control, and bad shots from he and Hendo. Zeller and MKG looking decent though IMO.

Kemba better pick it up this season. A huge fan of Kemba since his UCONN days and have called him out last season. If he doesnt show major improvements this season, we might be drafting a PG in the draft next year: Smart, Harrison, or Exum.

Had to leave so I'm not watching much anymore, but just a random note on Kemba...

I've thought for a little bit that he could be one hell of a 6th man. If we end up with a PG in next year's draft, bring Kemba off the bench and just let Kemba be Kemba. Come in, be a scorer, and run around like he's back at UCONN. Almost be like a Jamaal Crawford/Nate Robinson type role where his mission is to come in and light it up.

    • Like many of the old heads, I’ve been here for a long time.  I got a lot of respect for everyone on this board for your dedication to this team.  We’ve all been through it during the tougher years. At this point in life, I’m not one to judge anyone’s level of dedication, or their reasons why anymore.  Time, and a lot of bad football, will do that.  For me, it’s simple.  We share a common bond.  For that, I love and appreciate all of you crazy SOB’s. For me, last season was at a minimum, entertaining.  BY lead a young team to multiple come from behind 4th qtr wins.  That showed me heart, and that he has the clutch gene.  That’s the wildcard intangible.  For me, that was fun to watch even  if it was mindbogglingly frustrating at times.  Over the past two seasons, we have progressively built a better team around him.  On paper, the defense should be better this season.  That’ll help.  Let’s see what he can do as the other guys continue to develop too.  Besides, his contract is cheap for a few more years, and we just made some smart cap decisions during the draft. Let’s see how it shakes out.
    • Hiring Shula & his Cam save us playbook.
    • I would very much liked to have seen Jake Delhomme's career if Tommy Jone no hurt Jake.  I just know that roster and the leadership were destined to hit paydirt but Jake was never the same after the elbow injury, and unfortunately he was the sole reason they didn't make it back to the big one.  I think that 08 team was the best in the league, and Jake masked his inability well all season til the Arizona game put it all on display.  I'll go back to the season prior even and say the 07 team was primed to be a competitor.  Jake was off to a fantastic start that year (for a Panthers QB).  They may have been a championship caliber club for a few seasons after 08 too.
