London getting a 3rd game in 2014

Just out of interest, what do you guys think of International Series games, and non American NFL fans in general?

I'm a UK based Panther and think it's great that people over here get to see live games, but I reckon I'd be pretty annoyed if the shoe was on the other foot.

nothing wrong with it, but for a team to lose a regular season home game is pretty lame. also, if they're going to do it, expand beyond London

It's not a big deal to me at all until it's the Panthers losing a home game.

I remember a Cowboys vs. Raiders preseason game in Mexico City about 10 years ago.

If international games didn't count but had an emphasis on letting the big names play, it would be easier to swallow than losing a regular season home game. (until said "big name" player is injured in a game that doesn't count)

I seem to remember an SF-ARZ RS game in Mexico City about 10 years ago.

As far as one of the games, people seem to think it'll be the 9ers-Raiders in one of those games, that way the league won't have to deal with any potential fan violence. There was an incident a couple years back that prompted the end of SF-OAK preseason games

Does anyone want to help end our preseason series with the Steelers?

What surprised me about the games in Mexico is how much they understand the game. I remember them booing a bad call without mercy.

I can't tell you how many Aussie NFL fans I've met. I can understand the NFL being hesitant to put a game there, with the enormous time difference and being a completely different season in the land down under. But there's a goldmine if/when they do.

One of the prime time networks would have to take care of it. It would be an 11:30am start in a Melbourne/Sydney game.

    • Those last two plays before the last FG, we could have burned them so hard - but it is risky with even a better QB. But not sure they would have used that strategy against a better QB.  In any case Rico had no hope of breaking through that.
    • One more win and it matches Wilks’ win total, he was the leader of the last 5-6 years. You have to go back to Tepper’s first year where Rivera won 7 to beat it. He won 5 the year he was fired.
    • I watched a clip of all the offensive snaps. Young threw into some tight coverage and the guys made some plays on the ball. He also really missed some throws.  He has this middle of the field thing into a tight window pretty good and made three or four nice plays but he was just too inconsistent with his accuracy especially in the red zone. Today and in general.    That Int where people were chastising Legette for ‘not fighting through the coverage’, he in no way could have gotten to that ball. IMO. I think he thought it was going to hit the ground and didn’t see the defender coming for it. But not sure what he could have done. The camera doesn’t show the spatial relationship very well, I think the ball was way off. maybe 6 feet or more off target to the inside of the field.  Rico is a beast. And a very good receiver.   That was my impression without dissecting and rewinding, just letting the video roll. I did rewind the int two or three times to look at that one.
