You laugh Gettleman out of the building, because when you have a QB like that you don't let him go right now.  Maybe if he and the next coach spar a bunch then who knows, but now?  No way.

New rhetorical question. Say John Schneider (Seattle's GM) Comes in to Carolina and offers Russel Wilson for Cam, Does Gettleman do it. I bet the Huddle's answer and Gettlemans answers are different.

I disagree...he's not young by any means but he's proven, and his worth over the next three years on that team is probably greater than Cam's would be.  They also, at least right now, wouldn't want to do that because of coaching reasons.

 

and if the Giants would go into rebuilding mode, they'd probably rather have draft picks than a QB that has basically become a castaway in that situation.

 

on the other hand, I also wouldn't do that if I were the Panthers, because we are about to get a new coach and it's not a good idea to bring in a new QB right before a new coach IMO.
