Prepare for dirty play this weekend...

I don't think there is a team in the NFL that doesn't play dirty. Fisher just is known for getting guys who have attitude issues (much like the Bengals) and trying to help them out.

Also, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Janoris is going to try his best and outplay Cam.

They have the 31st ranked Run defense giving up an average of 130.5 yards a game and 6 total rushing TDs.  Only JAX is worse.  So I hope we can run on them too.

i didnt know they were that low, they have a nice front 7 though that can pressure the Qb at times.  A strong run game will offset that.  I think our defense can dominate though.

Ya they've been brutal against the run, we should be able to control the clock and the game by just consistently running the ball

Finnegan was inactive against the Texans and has apparently been having injury issues all season, playing in the nickel only.

Regardless, he's a cheap shot punk and I hope Steve Smith gets in his head and Finnegan ends up losing it. As lon as Smith doesn't get caught up in it himself.

...seeing as we're facing a Jeff Fisher coached team.

Pretty sure he won't tone that down just because he's facing an old teammate as the opposing coach (second week in a row that'll be true for Rivera). Don't think he has before.

Fisher does have that tough hard nosed mentality. You had better be ready to play. With him, or against him, you had better be ready to play.

That pretty much leads to tough hard nosed football being played. But hey, that is just what Rivera wants to be, and do. Without that scary intensity. The man flat scares me.

Give him a QB, and he can win. Too bad he is stuck with Bradford. Bradford IS what the non believers THINK Cam is. Captain Inconsistent.

The Rams are the Vikes. The Rams just happen to have a QB that can carve you up, or hand you the win. I see our Defense giving him fits. We should be .500 at weeks end.

There are a poo ton of teams sitting with 3 losses. All we have to do is take care of bidness, and we can be in the thick of things. Sounds good to say.

All hellz. And GOOOOOOOOOO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just hope that we will run on them.  I still am fuming over going into Arizona and abandoning the run.  The game plan this week calls for a heavy dose of the ground game.  Quinn, Brockers, and Long are all speed rushers that cannot hold the point of attack.  They should be sucking wind by the third.

    • To all the analysts who said "Caps in 5", thank you for telling us their departure time.
    • We won't know the answer to this for a long time. Reality is, Caleb has been the consensus #1 in that draft for years. Bryce was a similar situation, but mostly the same. He was not the clear and obvious #1 that Caleb was, but most teams had Bryce at QB1. The Panthers were always going to be terrible Bryce's rookie year.  I don't think DJ Moore's presence would have changed anything about that offense, as our guards, center, and left tackle were getting demolished on nearly every snap. It's clear Caleb's dad was trying to do everything possible to ensure Caleb didn't end up in Chicago with Eberflus. It's hard to imagine that he wouldn't have done the same, but probably more publicly with our situation, considering Carolina is an easier target for the media than Chicago. We can all speculate, but it's impossible to tell who is going to have the better career on May 16, 2025. If either QB doesn't pan out, we have an easy answer. If both flame out, the bears clearly won the trade, but it wouldn't have really mattered anyway. We all know how we win the trade. Candidly, even if one of the other picks we gave up ends up being a hall of fame player, we don't know if the panthers would have taken that player anyway. All you can do is make the best decision you can in the moment with the information you have. I really like Bryce Young, and I'm glad he's a Carolina Panther.  The only way to win in the modern NFL is to have an absolute dude at QB. I personally am happy that our franchise recognizes this, as I remember times when they did not.
