Why are we so scared of TB's Defense?

10 yards rushing last year against them when we first played them. Yea I'm a little concerned...

The circumstances between then and now are so different I dont even know where to begin. Well, for starters.. Chud, so there is your answer there. Brand new HC we had absloutely no film on whatsoever. We spent a whole week in Tampa Bay because of Obama and the DNC. The players and fans alike were optimistic and players didnt actually hate Schiano's guts. They had a fresh, healthy Doug Martin, they had Josh Freeman who played reasonably well and lets not forget they went 7-9 last year, they werent exactly garbage.

Fast forward to today. Cam Newton is coming off two games were he has looked like Peyton Manning, this time last year we were 1-5 vs 3-3 now, our D is VASTLY improved. They are 0-6 and Schiano is a lame duck, this is a Thursday night game missing their star RB (31st ranked offense before said RB was even injured) and lastly, Glennon.

They have no clue how to use Revis and he has been very quiet this year and Goldson might be out, even if hes not out he hurt his knee bad enough to warrant a MRI on Monday so he will be banged up pretty bad in the short turn around.

I just meant in terms of your statement saying that the defense has only lost players.

And I believe Revis is still the #1 ranked corner this season. Or at least he was a couple of weeks ago.

Oh Buffalo with EJ Manuel.. please.. we gonna destroy them.

Carson Palmer sucks...we are going to move up and down the field on AZ....

it works the other way too.

The same folks warning about Tampa did the same thing before the Giants and St. Louis. I guess if they keep it up similar to a broken clock they are bound to be right sometime.

I was a we will kick the poo out of NY guy

I was an AZ warning guy in regards to their D( I think that was one you said we would win handily)

I was a warning guy about the Rams pass attack

Matchups. Tampa has a good one on D and VJ. Doesn't mean they win....means being too confident is silly. We have good ones ..but they get theirs recognized too

Is Tb's D better than St. Louis?

And these "on" days you speak of, are they dictated by the team we play or Cam himself?

Yes. MUCH better.

Cam's on and off days are dictated by lots of things, him, us and opponent. Every QB has them

I don't think we gonna lose because :

Cam has been excellent on both blitzes and 3rd downs. Used to be weakness.

7 in the box hasn't been able to consistently shut down the run game.  8 worked for the rams however that leaves the passing game open.

You can't gash us for 4 1/2 yards up the middle whenever you want anymore.  Star and KK and Cole and anyone not named Fua have fixed that.

Beason isn't covering .(insert player)...We are not getting gashed as badly on the "covered" releases.

Ginn is a viable threat.  When Ginn is on the field.. he has to be accounted for because of his deep threat ability.  Something none of our other 3rd WR's have done.

You just may have a point there, didn't think of a couple of those.
