Who do we root for this week?

TNF - Redskins @ Vikings - Vikes, makes sure the Redskins don't have a late season surge

--------------------------------

1:00 - Eagles @ Packers - Eagles, knocks the Packers down and makes NFCE waters muddier

1:00 - Jags @ Titans - push

1:00 - Bills @ Steelers - Bills, makes our SOS look better

1:00 - Raiders @ Giants - Giants**, they are eliminated but gives them hope to be spoiler for rest of NFC

1:00 - Rams @ Colts - Colts, AFC over NFC

1:00 - Seahawks @ Falcons - Falcons, help knock Seattle back down to earth

1:00 - Bengals @ Ravens - push

1:00 - Lions @ Bears - Bears, we own tiebreaker over Bears, but not Lions

4:05 - Panthers @ 49ers - Panthers, obviously

4:25 - Texans @ Cardinals - Texans, to keep Cardinals a game behind in wild card race

4:25 - Broncos @ Chargers - push

SNF - Cowboys @ Saints - Cowboys, obviously.. could potentially put us in 1st place in NFCS

--------------------------------

MNF - Dolphins @ Bucs - Bucs**, smash hopes of playoff football when we play them in a few weeks

**I know I should probably root for Raiders over Giants and Phins over Bucs (AFC over NFC) but since they are so out of it I don't see the harm into them playing hard and winning a game- especially the Bucs over Phins

I'd say the Lions. With Rodgers out of commission, we want the Lions to run away with division, let the Pack fall off. Previously, The packers and Lions were playoff locks. If only 1 team from the North gets a playoff spot, it frees up another wildcard. The bears will be middling anyway, so they aren't a playoff threat one way or another.

Same with the Seahawks. Want them to win and put the division title out of reach, so the Niners aren't playing to catch up to Seattle, but just enough to grab a wildcard. If we lose to them Sunday, we need to have a better record than the 49ers since they will have a tie-breaker. So the last thing we need is them playing like they have a chance to win the West.

IDK about the Bears not being a threat. Forte is playing good football and Cutler claims he is playing this week.

We just need that whole division to go 9-7.

I just want to win at San Francisco.

I am also pulling hard for the Cowboys. I am also pulling somewhat hard for the Eagles, Bears and Falcons. Far down on my games of interest board, I'm also pulling for the Titans and Rams. I want the Jaguars to experience the shame of 0-16, get the first pick over the Bucs, and keep the Titans faint hopes alive in the AFC South. I also think a Rams win, though unlikely, helps our SOS and would finally be an UN-luck(y) day for that Luck(y) team. Agree with the rest.

    • As long as Morgan is the GM, Young will be the QB. Young is 100% Morgan's guy. The contract extension is pretty much guaranteed unless Young suffers a career ending injury this season.
    • People really need to stop placing Dan Morgan on some kind of infallible pedestal. He is absolutely in lockstop with Tepper regarding Bryce and has been all along. As far as the team being okay with 185 passing yards per game. We better have a proven monster RB in our backfield then. Presently that guy is not on the roster. Chuba has one outlier season so far and the other guys have proven nothing. Not what you would call a great recipe. The only thing we can hope at this juncture is that the highest paid OL in the league for the second year in a row elevates their play from last season and opens up some massive holes even our RB's can get through. But it still doesn't resolve the issue of predictability. With no viable passing game it is much easier to shut down any run game. No defenses are scared of Bryce's arm. It is what it is.
    • i lived in Atlanta from 84'to 92' & back then it was indeed a very different time without the internet & access to information 24/7. shortly after i moved back home to western NC around 93' or 94' the Carolina Panthers were awarded an NfL franchise & began their inaugural season in 95' so ike you i have seen the Carolina Panthers, ,the NFL ,technology, fans all evolve over the many a moon & years now some for the better & others not so ...just saying
