haven't been able to watch any games yet - how has MKG looked this season

You could easily make an argument that MKG has been the best player in both of the past two games. His defense is incredible. He shut down Melo and Rudy Gay. Both guys were very inefficient and got most of their points when Jeff Taylor was in for MKG.

He also has been fantastic on the fastbreak. I would love to see him get more postups too because he has made a lot of good moves.

Kemba was unquestionably the best player against the Knicks. No doubt about it. MKG himself would agree.

No doubt that Kemba's offense was great that game. But you just can't ignore MKG shutting down the reigning scoring champ. Melo scored 32 points on 28 shots. And most of those points came against Taylor. But like I said, you could argue it.

Either way, Kemba and MKG are no doubt the cornerstones of this franchise going forward. Hopefully Zeller (and Biz) can become part of that. Kemba and MKG are showing that they can be stars in this league.

I'm not as sold on MKG as others, but he did a great job defensively in that game.

I didn't participate in the game thread tonight because sportssouth and directv can't decide what the fug they want to do with the games apparently.

Everything blacked out one night. Next night I can only see it in standard def. The next night I can see the game in HD. Then I'm blacked out altogether again... smh... so pissed off. I hope they get it together.

Anyway, according to ESPN, we're in first place now, lol.

It was a fun game to watch last night, the arena wasn't very full but the people who were there were into the game.

Kemba didn't look like his usual self due to being banged up a bit in the NY game.

Hendo played like a starting NBA SG.

I'm liking Biyombo's intensity.  He is aggresive on the boards and even scores a little lol.

I think my favorite play is the one where Sessions dribbles around for 16 seconds then drives out of control, leaves his feet, and throws a cross court pass to nobody.

We run it about three times a game.

Smh

Teeray, watching that game last night, my post in the Knicks thread came to fruition the moment he entered the game.  Sessions is not a PG in my book, and he waits too damn long to make a decision, which is usually the wrong one.  Insists on driving everything to the hole and throwing something up.

I'm with you on the Pargo train.

Hansbrough sits on the bench for a team that lost to a team that starts mcroberts and Henderson.

God, my favorite thing about Hansbrough when he played for UNC was how pissed off other ACC fans got whenever you mentioned his name

Still puts a smile on my face seeing how salty yall are after all these years

Yes and it is the reason we won, the question is can he do it consistently, and history says no.

    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
    • Don’t recall seeing many of his interviews but what strikes me is that he engages and goes in depth. Even with the cliche answers as referenced by OP come across somewhat thoughtful.  Very likable personality despite being someone who can crush an average person like I can crush a paper cup. I knew Motons mother had a career at MSU but was looking on the google and found that Mushin Muhammad personally knew Motons grandfather.   His late grandfather was a professor at MSU.   Cool guy.  Interesting family and small world.
    • I think people aren’t patient enough with Young. It can take a few years for a QB to develop. Look at Darnold, Baker and most recently Daniel Jones.   he hasn’t been able to put up big passing numbers either cause of how much we run the ball. You can tell our coaching staff still hasn’t took the training wheels off Bryce and let him go all out. We’ve had some pretty bad receivers as well. We finally got a true number one last year and look how much Bryce improved. Still we didn’t really have any depth behind TMac. Coker was hurt for a lot of the year and XL was our #2. How many big plays or TDs has XL dropped? I think this year can be the year we see Bryce able to hit his stride. If not then we can start looking for another qb but I just ask people to be patient.
