I ain't eating poo. If Rivera would have used common sense coaching earlier we would be in an even better spot.

I am thrilled he had an epiphany after the Buffalo game and turned into Riverboat Ron, but I'm not gonna forget the terrible coaching prior to the transformation.

That's my preeminent thought as well on the situation, but I'll gladly still eat my crow.

He took some humble pie, so I'll do my part as a fan and critic.

Now that doesn't help me forget how good we could've been last season or early this season, if he would've adopted this smarter and way too obvious approach earlier.

Give me a whole plate of it. I was screaming for his firing after Buffalo saying he would never win. I really think our anger was heard (least I'm going with that). Have to have the players trust which Ron has had for a while, but more importantly you have to TRUST YOUR PLAYERS. which I feel like Ron didn't do on all these bad decisions in the past, trusting the BOOK more then your team.

He was likely one game away from being canned... we can celebrate for our first five-game winning streak in eight years... yes there's a lot of season left, but its looking good and this is the most success we have had in almost a decade. There is nothing hot/cold about this. We had over a hear of being ice cold, and we took five, hard earned, long deserved games to finally admit we're warm.

im not totally convinced there isnt a coach by commitee thing going on.  not eating crow, just because we have won 5 in a row. be a contender the rest of this year, and a good part of next, and ill think about it.

I'll eat some after he wins a playoff game.  You can't undo the last two years of piss poor coaching by winning 5 games (4 of which were against garbage teams).

Regardless, this is the NFL, not the FBS. Those wins count and they're hard to come by.

Look, he still has some things to prove, but tell me how often we have won five-games in a row before?

There's still no guarantee the Panthers make the playoffs. If the Saints sweep us and the Patriots beat us that means we're 10-6 at best. 10-6 may or may not be good enough for the playoffs, And the Dolphins and Jets are trap games, they have talent and a chip on their shoulder.

 

Best to wait till seasons end unless you're suggesting that Ron Rivera should be brought back even if the team finishes 6-10.
