Would you be opposed to a Julio Jones type draft day trade for a stud WR?

The Falcons D was never really that good to begin with and they were old as dirt on top of that. Our D is full of young studs from the trenches to safety and can easily ride this D for several more years.

Will the Kraken be re-signed?

Mike Mitchell and Quinton Mikell are both on one year contracts... will either or both of them be re-signed?

Will Dwan Edwards be re-signed?

Will TD remain healthy?

Utterly and totally opposed.

We have too many needs at OL and at WR to be trading picks away. Even future picks.

That JJ trade sure has worked out well for the Falcan'ts defensive and offensive lines, hasn't it?

What needs to do we have other than WR and O line? Our D is set, I truely believe we have one of the worst and most inconsistent WR corps in the league and yes thats Smitty including, if Smitty retires and teams double Lafell lol, its game over for our offense. We need a playmaker bad.

Stock piling picks wouod make sense for us 2 years ago, but if we are now contenders, it makes more sense for un to draft that one final superstar piece to put us over the top. You really wouldnt make a trade for a Julio Jones or AJ green type WR if he was there for a trade? We really arent in rebuild more anymore.

Please show me a case of where trading multiple first round/high level picks has worked out for a team?

Julio gets hurt, Falcons have no depth and a pathetic defense.

RG3 goes down his first year, Skins doing terrible this year because they couldn't upgrade their defense due to no high picks.

Ricky Williams plays a few years for the Saints then goes away for pennies, despite the Saints giving up an entire draft + for him.

Players are too much of a risk, with both injuries, developmental issues, or mental issues, to risk betting 1-3 starting quality player for 1 POTENTIAL superstar.  Gettleman is making great picks so far, I trust him to find value at the position we are at.

Ok and what do you suggest, just keep drafting D and ignore Cam and the offense? You also have to consider, if we are perrenial contenders, we wont have top 15 picks anyway going forward so i wont be a huge loss to trade some picks for a stud WR

Never, ever fall for the "we just need one more piece so we need to trade future picks" poo. It has never worked.

But look at the Rams, had a million picks and are still stuck in the mud. I still think Atlanta did the right thing trading for Julio, he is a franchise WR and a rare talent. Drafting in the mid-late 20s very rarely do you get a playmaker that high.

We need a Demaryius Thomas or Vincent Jackson-type of receiver. Not gonna happen without surrendering several key draft picks in 2014. Judging from how well G-Man drafted with 5 picks, I can't wait to see him use 8 draft picks.

You mad a absolutely terrible comparison, since Vincent Jackson was a late second round pick, and Thomas was a mid to late first round pick, two spots we could obviously be picking without a trade.  Hell I'd say Kenan Allen has the potential to be the next Vincent Jackon-esque player and he was a rookie drafted in the third this year.

Go look at the Detroit Lion's luck with 1st round, top-10 WR in the early 2000s if you think drafting the highest ranked receiver is the only way to find a game breaker at the position.
