Tom Brady talks Luke Kuechly

I've never heard or seen anything but the desire to win and respect for his opponents. There's nothing wrong with having a super model wife and investing the time in your talent to cultivate a lifestyle that others seem to hate.

Explain to me why you dislike him?

I'll try to keep it short. I don't hate someone for having a super model wife. I hate someone who dumps their pregnant girlfriend to pick up a super model though.

Oh, and respect for competitors? You know that Ed Reed guy, that Brady talks up so much as a great competitor, and a stud defensive player he respects? Here's how much he shows respect when it's game time:

Boy, I hope Brady doesn't "respect" Luke that much on Monday night!

Not to mention hopping around on one foot when someone nudged him begging for a flag (and then getting it). And that's the problem. He's a fuggin' hack! An actor. The media loves him so he gets a pass on everything. They paint our star QB a thug, while Brady is hailed as a great sportsman while he screams at his receivers and mutters...

...on the sideline.

He won 3 Super Bowls, yeah. While he was cheating. What's his Super Bowl record since they busted Billicheat? 0-2. He's a media darling because he's charming in the interview room. But on the field he is nothing but a fake, a hack, a whiner, and a general POS. I hate to see players get injured, but when Brady's knee got shattered, I watched that video over and over, and it kept getting funnier every time.

Fug Tom Brady and his Uggs.

To think I was saying "Wtf was that?" when we pick him to knowing knowing he maybe the best MLB in the game is crazy. Thank god Im not a GM lol

He was the player that I wanted. I was ecstatic when we drafted him. Unfortunately the same could be said for Joe Adams. That one didn't work out quite the way I expected, lol. But Luke did :-)

I don't know why anyone would hate on Brady. You have no legitimate reason.

I "dislike" Vinatieri too (much like most longtime Panther fans)

Doesn't mean I think Brady and Vinatieri suck, obviously they don't, I just "dislike" them.

Edit: Oh and F*CK Bill Bellicheat too!

Aren't the Pats kind of known for really talking up their opponents. I seem to remember one of the ex-Pats (Willie) on NFL network saying that Belichick always hypes up the next team on their schedule like they're world beaters.

Belichick and Brady will often talk up the opposition in general terms: the defense does a good job of X or Y. It is a bit more rare when they talk up a specific player, but when they do, I think it is genuine.

Belichick use to talk about ex Steelers 3/4 DE Aaron Smith being the best defensive lineman in football. At the time, Smith's sparse stats made that statement seem like a joke. How could the best D lineman in football have 5 sacks, right? But when Aaron got hurt and missed time, the Steelers defense fell apart.

Belichick is a student of the game. He knows greatness. If Brady is talking about Luke, it's because he and Belichick have been watching film and reacting like this... http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-network-around-the-league/09000d5d82617415/A-Football-Life-Bill-Belichick

Enjoy the praise. The Panthers finally have a legit front office who know how to build a winning organization. This is only the beginning.

    • To kick this up, The Athletic has a really comprehensive piece out where pretty much all QB questions are addressed. It is worth seeing.  https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7083539/2026/03/04/starting-quarterback-projections-free-agency-draft/?source=user_shared_article I’m putting something specific here but it should have a thread or something. It is an extensive exercise.  This is a dense write up with a lot of column inches used, about the Jets and Murray and Reich, all this stuff.. then it goes to backup QB and there is Dalton.  I am pasting that part: As for Dalton, Reich is installing the offense he was trying to run in Carolina in 2023 before he got fired, and Dalton was with the Panthers then; he’s an ideal option as a veteran backup to replace Taylor. Reich said this about Dalton in 2023: “The way he's throwing the football, the way he works through progressions, the way he handles the operation. … Since day one (when) he walked in the door, I'm like, 'This guy is starter-worthy.' You guys know I've said that all along. He's, in my opinion, one of the best 32 quarterbacks in the world.” ——— That’s true love lol. I never heard any of this. Pretty crazy I think, considering how the year went.   Anyway the dream is not dead. .
    • The Seahawks traded for wide receiver/returner Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline. He proved to be a key acquisition. Shaheed returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in the regular season and had a 95-yard kickoff return in the postseason. Shaheed, though, is scheduled for free agency. So, the 12 games he played, including the postseason, might be the extent of his time in Seattle. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Shaheed and the Seahawks are not close to an extension, and the expectation is that the two-time Pro Bowler will hit free agency. Shaheed has 153 receptions for 2,243 yards and 12 touchdowns in his four-year career to go along with three punt return touchdowns and a kickoff return touchdown. He ranks 13th on PFT’s top-100 free agents. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-rashid-shaheed-appears-headed-to-free-agency
