Patriots blow out Panthers

Way Truth Life

Before the Pittsburgh game when New England's defensive starters went out (Ninkovich, Dennard, Gregory) they were top 5 defense in points allowed and top 10 in sacks and interceptions... like I keep saying, with Ninkovich and Dennard back, I see Cam Newton struggling because Bill will force him to throw.

Again, why not do that to Geno Smith? Issue was you wanted but couldn't do.....what you suggest is SO easy for BB to do

How does one of the worst rushing defenses who are also toward the bottom of the NFL in sacks have a great front 7?

And how does a secondary that is #1 in the NFL in INTs per possession weakfish?

According to NFL.com, both the Pats and Cats have 29 sacks this season.

the annoying part is if we lose (which is a legitimate possibility) OP will be swaggerjacking this thread and going OHHHH SEE I CALLED IT but if we win (also a legitimate possibility) OP will be all "well we only won by X amount, and if we'd lost i'd be right" and poo up the board accordingly

its amazing how much fear ONE man puts in some! If Brady goes down, they'll switch ship and be back on board with the Panthers. Those are the fans that suck!!! Especially considering confidence if what launched that ONE man to this level of success. So why can't an entire TEAM do the same, especially YOUR team? smh.... 2009-early 2013 has really shaped a loser mindset around here. People look to lose before win every week. This must stop!

Been a fan since day 1, but I'm not drinking the coolaid.

Panthers beat 5 teams with a total record of 12-34.  The only team with a winning record was the 49ers and all the others are well below 500.  The San Fran win was a great win, but let's not get confused.

Rivera sucks and he will show how bad on Monday night in what will be embarrassing.  Sucks that so many people have actually bought into Rivera now that he has won games the Panthers are suppose to win against shitty teams.  Now it looks like we are stuck with this turd.

I would love to see the Panthers win...but I'm not delusional.

The Pats are down five starters on defense: two DT's, one linebacker and team captain, and two DB's. They'll have two undrafted players starting at DT, a rookie nickel back, and a rookie safety.

The Patriots offense is beginning to jell, but if you're going to be confident about any part of this Panther team, it should be the defense. I'd suggest that unless Cam throws or fumbles the game away, the Panthers will have a good chance to win.

See that way truth life, a Patriots fan has more confidence in the Panthers than you. Day 1 fan my ass

Dude, people come in here trying to play mind games. Pretend theyre a panther fan and then just talk like theyre gonna get beat. Its old right? The thing is, they get called out instantly here on the Huddle. Then they get to just sit there and look stupid while we make fun of them. . . thats my favorite part. .  to which I say. .

How many Pats fans does it take to screw in a light bulb? 3. . one to drive the bandwagon, one to screw the bulb, and the other to make sure he's licked Belicheat's balls clean.

    • Regardless of how we got here, any rational fan should be excited by how well Bryce played down the stretch. Anyone not happy about that level of play either doesn't know what they're looking at, or they're still trying to drive tired narratives. Obviously, Cam had an all-time rookie season, and I'm not putting the two in the same basket yet, but as someone who has watched every snap of Panthers football since the start of the new millennium (Im old), Bryce was playing at a higher level at the end of 2024 than Cam was at the end of 2012 (his 2nd season). Cam continued to develop into MVP form, something Bryce has to prove, but as someone who watched both (and will stan for Cam always), Bryce was playing at a higher level to end year 2 than Cam did.  Go watch the film if you dont believe me. None of that means anything for the future. But the people who said BY9 couldnt play in this league are wrong.   That being said, the only thing that matters is this year. #20 is perfectly fair IMO going into the season. I mean think about it, how would you rank him??!  His in-season turnaround is one of the wildest things I've ever seen... how do you rank a guy who looked like a massive bust in September and by January was consistently playing at a top 10 level? My excitement level is pretty damn high heading into this season. There were throws from the Chiefs game onward where Bryce had Drew Brees levels of anticipation. Im excited to see what he can do with a full deck on offense, something we really never gave Cam. Really hope and expect Bryce to move up this list this season.
    • Not really, the only QB's (other than Anthony Richardson) ranked below him are new to their teams as a placeholder starter or drafted in 2024 or 2025, not a lot of gymnastics to get there. It's not about how many that is, if it's 20, 12, or 2... It means there isn't a QB who's team has committed to them for the long term right now that they have ranked below Bryce. That's not a great thing.
    • The changes to onside kicks were ridiculous and ruined a significant part of the game     It was already a high risk low reward play.  Why change it?
