Cams MVP standing?

Awesomeness!!

Recommended Posts

I am going to be honest, I don't think I can explain it without being as concussed as Steve Young perpetually is.

he basically keeps saying "Cam is learning that as long as he just doesn't make mistakes the defense will win" it seems.

It's a bunch of bullshit.

Nobody can watch that game and not think Cam won that fuging game for us in the 4th.

lol have you seen Andrew Luck's career stats... that guy is WAY overrated

RG3 is supposedly playing badly this year, but if you compare their stats, RG3 is still outplaying Luck... its a bit closer than it was last year, but RG3 even coming off knee injury is still outperforming him

the best young qb's in the game are Wilson, Cam, and RG3.... Stafford and Dalton are also overratted, both are playing with wr's that are superior to them as a player

I don't need to see his stats. I watch him play the games.

There is a reason why Cam is continually being critiqued and painted as if he always needs to prove himself. Don't kid yourself.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000284424/article/cam-newton-leads-panthers-to-win-in-game-of-the-year

The Panthers have won six consecutive games for the first time since 2005. After starting his career 7-14 in his first 21 games, Newton has directed his team to a 13-8 record in his last 21.

Since early December of last season, only the Seahawks and Broncos boast a better record than Newton's Panthers.

After entering this month as an enigma, Newton will finish it by entering the discussion of MVP alternatives to Peyton Manning.

Not a chance this year. Peyton's been better overall, Luck's doing it without Carolina's now renowned defense.

The Colts have a great team around Luck, Luck has average this year, i'll give it to Wilson over Luck.. Luck is WAY overhyped

It seems all this kid does is piss off those in the media who keeps doing everything in their power to bring him down. He took the Heisman from their Chosen QB Luck after they pushed a fake pay for play story against him and his father. He led his college team on a comeback drive against the media favorite college team, Bama, while they pressuring the NCAA to come down hard on him over the fake pay for play scandal they created. He got his team into the NC and won despite the endless pressure and scorn from the media. He got picked at number one when they did everything in their power to have him fall down the draft board. He struggle for two seasons with the Panthers and they were happy. They scrutinized his every move simply to back their already created fake view of him. He's finally gotten the Panthers to gel as a team and they are surprised because they never went out of their way to demand the Panthers build around him the way they did with their "chosen QBs."

Do you seriousy believe they will pick this kid as MVP with the way they have been treating him?

No.  Steve Young is working tirelessly to change the narrative.  Acts like Cam is Alex Smith now

I was incredibly surprised that Steve was taking that angle after the game.  Almost blown away...  In the past, he has even seemed to be favorable towards QBs almost to a fault.  For instance, I like The Golden Calf of Bristol.  I'm not saying he was the second coming of Johnny Unitas, but I pulled for him as a player.  Steve was constantly saying how Tim could be a viable QB in the league and had all the tools, etc.  I think I recall him even going overboard to defend Alex Smith as being more than a "game manager."

That take he was giving on Cam tonight was bullshit.  If we had any other QB back there except Cam, odds are, that wasn't a game, and odds are even greater that it was a certain loss.

For a guy that had to fight off stigmas as an athletic, running QB himself following behind the greatness of Montana, I'm truly surprised he didn't give Cam his due.  I mean, it's not as though Cam didn't set league records for most production in both passing and running in his first two seasons...  Seriously...  He's put up the huge stats and shown that he can win and play that way.  Now, he's approaching the game with more patience and is winning more.  The guy is the reason on offense that we are winning.

Steve young was basically being a bitch fuger talking about Cam throwing short passes for TDs.....

All the while praising Tom Brady for doing the same poo..derp...give him his meds his brain is rattling loose still

Pay attention. They seem to do this all the time. You could feel the animosity towards this kid by those folks is so painfully obvious that it's sad. Even worst, many of those who are doing it to him are the white Ex-players and Announcers. You don't see the black ex-players going out of their way to play down Cam's accomplishments. It seems as if TPTB at ESPN/NFLN and their friends in the sports media, have it in for this kid. It is getting to the point where they are making it way to obvious.

In the mean time their new chosen QB shows up when he feels like it and no one seems to have a problem with it.

Cam is a threat to win a superbowl( he will always be seeen as the villan by the media because he is a black qb with unlimited potential), look out for the kid Jameis Winston at FSU he is already being targeted by the media. The media knows that Winston and Cam have potential to do great things in the NFL, and they will do everything in their power to try and bring off-field distractions to try and derail them.... it seems Winston has the same drive that Cam had when the media was trying to come after him....
