Say we split with the saints

No talking about the MNF game...no talking about the Saints.

The next game is the most important, and that is Miami.

You think the Panthers are going to play poorly on Sunday because someone made this thread? Lol this is the right time to talk about this. It will be tougher to win the South than people think. Gotta win them all, stop thinking about being happy with just a split.

No, I was referencing the team mantra as of late.  I'm on your side, I just happen to be a smart-ass on your side.

Carry on.

We need them to lose to the Seahawks, then it would be SOS I would assume or by score of our 2 games against them

Nope, we lost to the cards, Saints have better conference record. If we split and they lose to the seahawks, because of that one point loss in Buffalo more than anything, we lose the division.

Ive actually taken time to review the tiebreakers. the conference record would be the same. it went to strength of victory. If we split with them and their only other loss is to Seattle, their strength of victory would be greater than ours. i agree with the "win out" mentality. otherwise we have to depend on some pansy beating the Saints. Possible, but not as probable as the Panthers running the table IMO

How is it not conference record when we lost to the Cards, Seahawks, and presuming a split the Saints. They haven't lost to any NFC Teams this year.

Saints are not this huge juggernaut that everyone in the media portrays them to be....they are very beatable....take care of business these next 2 weeks and set up one of the biggest showdowns in team history and prbly the biggest in this rivalry!!! Keep pounding

Everyone has legitimately forgot we swept them last year and beat them in the Super Dome with an inferior team and didn't even have Chris Gamble. Not to mention it was the end of the year for them and they pretty much had things figured out by then.

Conference record, and right now they have the edge. They would have to lose an additional conference game (ex Rams). If they don't lose to the Falcons (possible IMO) or Bucs, even if they lose to the Seahawks, we're gonna have to sweep them IMO. No worries I say. Game on.

That DW fumble in week one is looking pretty huge.

    • It's not common for a RB to recover from two ACL tears in the same knee. It's fairly rare. You are correct that it isn't the career ender that it used to be but there is also the fact that we appear to have largely moved on with the additions of Dowdle and Etienne.  Dobbins is a very good example. He has basically missed 54% of his career regular season games since he came into the league in 2020. It will end up being 57% at the conclusion of this season. It's a big contributing factor to why he is on this third NFL team in 6 years. It's certainly possible that may be 4 by the beginning of next season. I would say there is very little chance that Brooks ever contributes in any meaningful way in Carolina. Possibly with another team but I am extremely skeptical of his future here because of those injuries and because of the roster.
    • Dude he didnt play in pre season.....  he didnt practice at all with the team until the end of October.    I do agree though.
    • Bryce had a hand in the Miami win but not nearly as large of one as Rico and he also had the extra burden of being a big reason we were in the hole in the first place. If we get a winning season he is definitely back for next year though.
