NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday that Brooks was fined $15,750 for the hit on Brees. That's the standard fine for a first-time offender. After reviewing the play, the league decided that the personal-foul penalty was just.

NFL normally releases fines on Wednesday for the previous Sunday games. Not sure what the time frame for Monday night games is, but they all usually are announced Wednesday...

 

... and there is nothing listed for Cannon's leg whip on CJ.

Wow!  People always joke about QB wearing flags.  But we really are headed in that direction.

this is kinda ridiculous, he and his team already suffered.  i thought the call was bogus but looking at the rules, can't really argue it.  but for the fine, he had no intent on doing that, he grabbed him by the shoulders and his arms slid up to his neck.  kinda petty to fine him after the unfortunate play it brought to his team to take a win and turn it to a loss.  the saints were pretty lucky to escape that game with a W.

Atleast he doesn't have to shoulder all of the fine on his own since Ray Lewis offered to pay half.

They issued the fine just to give some justification for the BS call.
