Another MNF Controversy?

Mr. Scot

Per Adam Schefter on ESPN, the clock operator at Bank of America Stadium allowed for an additional four seconds to run off the clock after Ted Ginn's touchdown play would have technically been over. Those four seconds, Schefter asserts, would have given Tom Brady and the Patriots one more play to try and score.

Brady threw a INT it really doesn't matter cause he wouldnt have got another shot anyway

Yeah, Schefter skipped that part

Also, my understanding has always been that official game time is kept by the refs on the field. Hence, why refs often call for scoreboard operators to put time back on the clock (as they did at the end of this one, moving the clock from three seconds to six).

Schefter's discussion misses both of these points.

    • Mr. 0-2 every year to start the season in his career. Last year was the first year he ever played a week 3 game.
    • The good thing about replacing a bad player is you really have nothing to lose. If their replacement is bad so what, you didn't get much worse and probably saved money.
    • I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.
