WRs with vertical speed.

Awesomeness!!

I think we played too much man coverage today....

Not sure why we were running so much man....we are a zone team. I think that hurt us

I don't know if it is speed that kills us or that we are just bad on vertical throws deep.

You'd think practicing with Ginn would expose that.

You'd also think Ginn could catch a deepball...and Cam wouldn't under throw him...

Unfortunately it seems to be 1 or the other.....it's either a good throw and a drop or an underthrow....

Need to draft us some young prospects for sure.

I'd bet the scheme was expecting more pressure up front, which wouldn't have allowed the time necessary to hit Wallace deep.  When that didn't work in the first half, they adjusted in the second and voila - no more deep completions (until the boneheaded calls on Miami's final drive).

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
