Per RR weekly Sirius interview....Kahil was one of the others to speak at halftime and said each player should only focus on doing their job on every play. Keep blocking on every play even when it breaks down because Cam can make a game changing play. RR said he summed up everything by saying "If you think you're a better team.....go out and prove it"

It's bittersweet that in the midst of a wonderful season that I'm so excited about, I know in the back of my mind that this guy won't be on the team next year. fuging sucks.

I'm not quite ready to concede that.  Gettleman said he was going to build this team from the trenches outward.  Some desperate team might just blow us out of the water on an offer, but unless that happens, I think Gman finds a way to keep Hardy.  We'll see.

I love what I keep hearing from the players about Cam's focus.....Cam is laser focused right now.

He has thrown out all that icon/entertainer bullshit and is focusing on the game. With all that physical talent, as he continues to master all of the little nuances of playing QB in the NFL, he is just going to be nastier and nastier.

You really have taken that statement to heart.

Here's the problem if you believe the whole thing about tv contract money coming in. All the teams get an even share of that, so even if it looks like we have room for Hardy to sign, someone that already has more cap room than us and has that TV money will still blow us out of the water to get him. Look at Ray Edwards or whatever his name was, he got a HUGE contract. Does he even play anymore?

Hardy is a role-player on this defense. He lines up in different positions and makes plays all over the field.

He is a high intensity guy, and I think is the prototype player mentally and physically for Rivera, second only to Keek. I think we will find a way. I know Hardy likes playing on this team, and believes in it, maybe they can work something out and find a way to make it happen.

I think they would let Stewart, Godfrey and LaFell walk before they let Hardy go. Our defensive front 4 is now the core of this whole team now IMO.

IMO, cutting Godfrey is a foregone conclusion and a matter of mere formality at this point.  He's as good as gone.

I could see some of the players, like Johnson, being willing to restructure in order to get enough money to keep Hardy.

Btw, we give Hurney a hard time and deservedly so, but Hardy has to rank as one of Hurney's, and Carolina's best picks ever.

I thought CJ already restructured his contract before this year. Aren't the Panthers way under the cap anyway?
