Fred Smoot Calls Out Steve Smith

Come to Mississippi?!? wtf? why? This guys career has been over for years now, no one cares about him anymore. He doesn't matter.

89 is the one bringing him up...

89 is the reason people are running to him with microphones to get a sound bite

We are headed to the playoffs and this might be Smiths last chance.  I am hoping he drops the adolescent stuff and concentrates on being a leader of a very young Panther team.

Calling out some joker from BF Mississippi is below his pay grade.

He's from Jackson, MS tho. Jackson is a pretty tough town.

Lol this whole thing is pretty funny to me.

No doubt, there's rough areas in every state... but, I don't think me growing up in Fayetteville should be put on the same level as growing up in L.A. "Tough" living conditions in the South are usually a result of socioeconomic issues not unique to the South, whereas in L.A. there is much, much more going on that is unique to the area and is very rarely ever replicated elsewhere.

Smoot is the one that started it before the game in 2005 talking smack. Oops. Bad move Fred. I didn't hear the comment on Mike and Mike but I have no problem in Smitty reminiscing after owning someone on the football field more than anyone has ever been owned on a football field AFTER said moron was talking smack. Smoot is pathetic.

    • The Bucs waived shilo sanders after he got ejected.
    • I'm just tired of ppl saying he's so accurate and then have to see recievers slow down to recieve the ball, ruining any chance at YAC
    • Some people will really look at stuff like this and say "no more excuses" but then make excuses to try and explain away the validity of big-time throws. 🙃   Back on topic though, as I mentioned in the other AT thread earlier, I hope that the team is still exploring the deal. If the Vikings want the Panthers to take on some of the salary, then it had better be at worst a 4th-round pick (though I imagine Dan angling for a 3rd). If they're willing to take on all of it, then maybe at worst a 5th. Tough pill to swallow, giving up a 4th for a 35yr old WR, but if MIN believes they can have similar success behind McCarthy then it could be a smart deal for them. Hell, if AT has any gas in the tank and gives them a 1yr sweetheart deal to close out at home, even better for Minnesota. Yea, Bryce loses his best and most reliable WR. Hunter Renfrow though isn't what I would call a huge step down though (if he's as advertised throughout camp), and it gives more reps to TMac + XL + Coker. This season is all about continued development and answering some of the looming questions (Is Bryce the guy? Is Evero the DC going fwd? How do the young WRs develop? How long does it take this defense to bounce back from being historically awful?).
