You can make/change any rule...

If you are flagged on a play where another player is hurt you have to stay out of the game for the same amount of time that the injured player is out.

There would have course have to be an appeals process but if you end someones career on a cheap shot you could be done too.

Objectionable Conduct penalty everytime a receiver misses a pass and comes up whining for a pass interference call.  Reviewable if needed.

also...I think that as long as a team is right on their challenges, there should be no limit to how many times they can throw the flag.

No teams allowed in playoffs with losing records...period.  I don't care if you're the division winner, if you don't have a winning record that spot goes to the next best winning record that lost out on a wild card spot.  Wild Card #1 takes that losing record team's spot.

Force referees to have a press conference after each game.  Allow them to convene for a few minutes coming off the field and then be subjected to questioning for a very limited time period by member of the press from both teams.

Yea the first would be changing the playoff format to the best 6 records regardless of division.

I wish the possession rule would be changed too. Catch the ball, 2 feet down or body part = catch. None of this retain it all the way after falling on the ground bs. It's hypocritical the way it is now when the "ground can not cause a fumble" rule is  in place as well.  They just made it way too complicated.

nail on head with this. so tired of constant touchbacks. So tired of seeing players fined for leading with their shoulder and incidental helmet contact. Fingers grazing a helmet drawing a 15 yard penalty on the QB.

    • Canales and Evero were the guys I was looking at this past Sunday. There was also an unusual lack of discipline from our players, No I think a lot of folks blame the guys in the black and white stripes more.  Brandon Staley is definitely winning in head to head competition vs Canales so far.  Canales did a better job against him for about two and a half quarters but by games end our second tussle with the Saints for starting to more closely resemble the first one. Not gonna bother rehashing how I feel about Evero...
    • When XL was drafted it was acknowledged by many he wouldn’t be very good paired with Bryce….which he isn’t.  Bryce had something to do with that.  Bryce needs players that help him, XL needs a QB that helps him.  He is raw and what he should be doing we don’t really do.   you ask him to participate in our bad screen game and run crisp routes to catch spotty balls?  That’s not XL. XL just flat out needs to time out physical and run dudes downfield…..and then needs good balls on to of that.
    • I mean I'm an early millennial and we ran a lot of these concepts when I was in high school in the late 90s early 2000s its crazy how over simplified college ball has become.
