Conservative playcalling from Ron and Shula cost us this game.

I know, I hate how all those conservative calls on offense made our defense give up 30+ points.  We got beat because our pass rush couldn't get to Brees and because of that our secondary was exposed.  It also doesn't help that Brees is a stud.

I don't disagree that there were times we could been conservative but I think you overestimate our WR corp. They just dont get open. Period. Lafell is a bum.

Of course it doesnt help that on the off chance that they do we also need a perfect storm of goodness with Byron Bell not screwing up the play and Cam happening to see his guy-which frankly, I think he gets so used to them not being open, he doesnt care to bother.

Which frankly I can't say I really blame him.

When we do throw downfield, there is no accuracy

Thats what I mean.... Newton's deep ball numbers are atrocious this year because they've taken that from him. When he came into the league he threw it down the field a lot. As long as a defensive, scared Head coach is here and Shula his lackey we will continue to have a QB who manages the game and averages like 211 passing per game. It's just stupid. Go get an alex smith

    • He’s also 21 years old. I don’t know why fiz is so eager to label him a bust
    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
