Tailgating Forbidden at Super Bowl

I'm sort of close to the situation and there's a reasonable logistics related explanation for this, but since most of you guys are too busy jerking off to the ghost of football's past and complaining about not being able to tailgate before a game that none of you will be able to afford to go to such commentary would be useless

Whats the reasonable explanation for FORCING people to spend 50 dollars for a parking pass? Cant walk to the stadium. Ya cant hire a car service to get to the stadium. Nope, ya either have to parachute in, take public transportation or dole out even more cash for a parking spot.

This was a joke from the second that piss hole city got the rights to host the SB. Hopefully this is the last time.

because of govt security...

gotta keep ppl under control..

we let fear get to us....... :( or thats the plan..

This is truly sad news.. how unamerican you can't tailgate at the biggest football game of the year? Damn Id hate to be a fan of the teams playing and not be able to enjoy that. Tailgating is a huge part of football, or events period. What gives? This is truly disappointing.

I swear, most of you guys get up in the morning and scour the internet to find something to bitch about....even when it won't impact you at all.

Why do you care whether you can tailgate at a game that none of you are going to?

This

It's really not that big of a deal. When I was in AZ I went to a tailgate party at the AZ Speedway and then took a bus to the stadium. It was awesome. In Detroit you could walk to Ford Field from downtown. I ended up at some (indoor) party a few blocks away. It, too, was great.

If you do end up shelling out tons of cash for the SB (I was lucky to go free - doubt I would pay that much) you're going to be hard pressed to fined several other people to do it too. Which basically means you're going to have a tailgate party of 2 to 4 people. Doesn't sound like tons of fun to me anyway.

In NYC you're going to be partying in the city and then taking the Port Authority buses to the game . This is good because 1) the parties will be cool , 2) you won't be outside, 3) there will be more than just you and your buddy. 4) you don't drink and drive, 5) you won't sit in traffic after the game or as much anyway, 6) you don't have to drive in that God awful state NJ.

The Superbowl isn't a game anymore it's week long corporate kiss ass party. The NFL has turned into a entertainment show, the only people who really care about the game...have tailgating and are on the field. Ironic

Ugh.

Pete Rozelle always sought to make the game MORE accessible and fan friendly.

No such consideration these days.

How long before they make it Pay Per View?

Please don't give them no more ideas plz. The day they turn the SB in a PPV and start charging people to watch it. That is the day they will lose millions of fans. Then the NFL will go down the drain after that.

They're already aware of that particular idea.

It's been brought up once or twice before, but so far it's yet to gain any support.

I don't actually believe it'll happen anytime soon - probably not even in my lifetime - but then again, with idiotic things like a team in London still getting talked about, you never know.
