it's funny because the media forced the Panthers to really do a thorough background check on Cam. Better than any other top drafted player, I am sure to this day. I think Rivera said he went as far back to Blinn and University of Florida.

I think they even checked to see how many parking tickets Cam had, until they realized he own a scooter..LOL

Nahhhh.

Carolina did a standard thorough background check a team would do with a very high or # 1 pick. We only hear about the level of it so much, cause it involved Cam.

I had read other thorough scouting services or publications that had interviewed (or at least referenced the interviews/quotes) Cam's high school, Junior College, Florida and Auburn coaches, parents, spouses, children and teammates.

That's standard NFL, or legitimate scouting services issue. Of course, the level of it, depends on how bad the team wants to know something/find something out (such as, what was behind a crime, infraction, reputation, etc.). But it's usually very high for top picks, unless the NFL team is just lax, and/or too cheap.

Nolan Nowaracki, and his publication is actually not a legitimate level NFL scouting publication. None are, if you don't actually do background interviews (contrary to perceptions of knuckleheads like Mel Kiper, etc., who really don't talk to anybody), and extensive film break down.

That stuff cost money, especially if you have to properly analyze 300-500 players, which most publications obviously can't.

I think Luck and Cam are virtually the same type of passer. Newton, of course, is more athletic. The difference between them is one has been groomed to 'replace' a future HOFer and the other has been presented in a negative light before even taking a snap.

Actually, they r not the same. Luck is a system type QB. Cam is of a Jack of All trades QB. If u desperately need a qb to get the job done, Cam is ur guy. He's shown that he's quite moldable. A very rare thing with QBs. I personally see Luck more like Alex Smith.

Please...Nolan's extent of so called scouting is copy and paste the write ups he did on other players.

Oh, that guy and hacks like him, are total tools and fools.

If I read interviews, and/or quotes from Cam's high school, Junior College, and Div 1 A college teammates, parents, kids, and coaches, etc., extolling his hard work, leadership, humility, and skill level, he should have known that to.

The Panthers; via interviews with the Auburn coaches, and film review, saw that the overwhelming majority of Cam's runs, were called runs. Because of this; they also saw/knew, he had very good patience and presence in the pocket (or at the very least, was committed to it). So that satisfied them on that front. The Panthers also isolated every throw he made in college, gaining satisfaction on that front as well (though that didn't stop Newton from furiously working with Chris Weinke, and George Whitfield after the season was over, right up to the combines and draft).

And of course, even Cam's teachers; the charity administrator he worked with while at Auburn (talking to those kids), and Random Auburn teammates were interviewed as well. They spoke to everybody, including his father, brothers and mother (some of the legitimate scouting services, not just the Panthers). Lol

Narowki was a hack (sorry for the spelling), for writing what he wrote! Those were already known lies (long before he wrote them). But apparently, he had to feed the media beast, or his own hatred or ignorance regarding Cam. Cause NFL teams didn't feel that way, and already they knew better, via their own scouts, and legitimate NFL scouting services (regardless what those media hacks wanted to, or made us believe).

I dont care to get into the Cam Vs Luck debate because I respect both players, but I will say LOL at any analyst who heralded Luck as the next Manning. Even when comparing their early seasons, the two couldnt be more different players from one another.

But that is exactly what most analyst were doing. They had Luck on a pedestal and deemed him the next Manning while rating Cam much lower. They had that mind set then and now their ego will not let them back track because to do so would be losing face,in their way of thinking.

Five years down the road Cam's upside will be off the charts and the same early nea sayers will be jumping on his bandwagon like nothing ever happened. This is human nature at its rawest.

Let's face it, we all know Cam is treated the way he is because it's easy. He fits all of the shallow and ignorant stereotypes that some folks easily run to when they feel threatened. Plus, we have become a very selfish society where folks now sit and repeat the ignorance just to get attention.

Yeah, I addressed that in my second response.

Whichever ranking one approves of though, Cam, Wilson and Luck are legit. So long as people see it, I could care less if the media rates Andrew higher for now and forever.

If it ever comes down to Luck and Cam for MVP or OPOY, it'll always be Luck.

Could you honestly explain why? Because I sure nuff can't.
