Kaepernick: " We Owe Them for the Last Time Coming Into Our House"

I didn't want it, because I thought the Packers would be an easier matchup... that being said, we better make them eat their words.

I actually like this matchup considering we won't be facing a real QB. Shut down Kaep like last time and put some points on the board. Rodgers is another monster all together.

It'll be a battle, but a battle we can certainly win. We have a better and faster defense than GB. We are at home. And Kaep proved again that he's not exactly great at passing (that one TD to Vernon Davis very easily could have been a pick. He just threw it up and the defender couldn't recover from being out of position).

As long as the offense actually shows up and puts up a few TDs, we have this game. GB's defense only gave up 23, and they are decidedly inferior to us.

Shula better have his poo together. That's the key. Defense will be fine.

Thing is, Harbaugh has no doubt made adjustments for this rematch. I'm hoping Ron has done the same. I also expect them to play dirty.

It just kind of pissed me off because it comes off like they fully planned on this and beating Green Bay was a given in their minds. From what Kap and Bowman said post-game, they were looking past the Packers and wanted this game for revenge.

    • yeah, now it's going to get awkward.  The team circles pay attention to all this stuff.  All the wives and girlfriends see the posts.  They all talk like everyone.  Football is just a normal world outside of the fact they play a game for lots of money.  Gossip travels. They know the Theilen's want out at this point.  Carolina is now the disappointed failed trade location.    So now AT takes sort of an inhouse hit in Carolina IMO
    • Ummm... The dude looked like he was about 180 pounds soaking wet with us (I don't care what his listed weight was/is) - he would have been destroyed in the run game even more than our current and past crappy ILBs. The problem is we primarily play 3-4 or nickel/dime - there is little room on the field for him because he isnt an edge LB blitzer and he can't cover for crap. The only thing he can do kind of well is be an in-the-box safety that can try and beat blockers to the spot because of his athleticism. Washington was able to make him work last year because they used him solely as an in-the-box safety and almost exclusively ran a single high FS. The funny thing is they had good yards/game stats against the pass despite most of their secondary having embarrassingly low PFF grades. Washington was also terrible against the run, which might explain why they gave up so few yards passing.
    • Just get the deal done. We've teased it so much that the Thielen's expect it. Now we run the risk of our veteran WR locker room presence becoming disgruntled. Just take what we can get, make him happy, and get future assets while freeing up snaps for guys who will be here beyond this season.
