A few final words about the Saints...

It's worth remembering that the Panthers are partially responsible for what happened to the Saints today.  Had we not beaten them in week 16, they'd be hosting the game tomorrow and wouldn't have had to travel until next week at the earliest.

Also of note for New Orleans, that "can't win outside of the dome" perception that you thought you exorcised last week?  Yeah...back with a vengeance now.

Great play, Marques

An argument could be made that Drew Brees is continuing the trend of quarterbacks tailing off after getting paid huge contracts.

And one last thing: After starting crap with Seahawk players by pulling Bruce Irvin's hat off pregame, Jimmy Graham finished the game with just a single catch, eight yards.  Don't know if he won the trash talking match, but if he did, it was pretty much the only thing he won.

See ya next year :)

What makes me laugh is the fact that now, the only thing they can thump their chest about to us (at least, as it concerns this season) is that they blew us out in the first meeting.

Sure, but we got the last laugh bitches. Enjoy the realization that you're truly not THAT good.

Now, back to important matters. Getting ready for tomorrow and reading threads regarding Luck, George Carlin, and media perception of Cam.

San Fran again? Again? Who the hell is making these schedules? At least they had the decency to put that game at home. Along with Cincinnati, Baltimore, and GB (and seriously, *** was up with us going to Green Bay two years in a row? Sick ******** wanted us to lose). All those games are easily winnable at home anyway.

The only away games I'm sorta worried about are Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Chicago. Also the Cowgirls, but that depends on which Cowgirl team shows up. Lions have to step up their game in order for me to even care. And our division rivals are morons who usually lose to us anyway, so I'm not too concerned about them either.

Looks like a mild schedule this year. Still not as easy as I would like, but it will have to do.

Man saints fan suck. Whiney as fug.

    • if  ANYONE actually goes & looks at the FACTS on rookie Qb's after 2 full seasons as a starter in the NFL & they are still well below average do they rarely ever actually become top tier Qb's & instead most likely either do not recieve a second contract & or become life long backups...just saying
    • So he became GM and decided not to address the weakness in the QB room following one of the worst rookie QB performances in NFL history?  There were options last season other than signing Dalton to a 2 year deal. Brissett and Jones by a wide margin, both of whom outplayed Bryce, Wilson, Winston, hell even Rivers off the couch was more exciting at the QB position. The time to address the failure in the QB room was last year but instead people on the Huddle cheered when we brought Dalton back then cheered when we were able to get anything for him after they finally realized he was washed up like a few of had been saying all along and got poo'd for even mentioning.  This year, the options were more limited obviously, especially since we lost Icky. It changed the dynamic of our draft. I think we were stuck this year keeping Bryce, but i still think giving him a 5th year option for what has amounted to replacement worthy performance was the wrong move. Why guarantee 25m if you're planning to replace him? You think he's going to want to be a bridge QB? Hell no. He's going to want out and we'll end up cutting him if he has another lackluster season because no one is trading for him with that price tag.  Were there better options as far as production available. A couple. Were there guys available with more physical tools than Bryce, Pickett or Grier, you damn well better believe there were. I've been saying all along, you always keep looking for your 1b. Bryce has yet to prove he can be a starter. Keep looking for someone who may. Put competition in camp. Let the best QB lead the team. Stop settling for less than mediocre.
