Gregg Williams might wind up in trouble (again)

Mr. Scot

Recommended Posts

Former Jags DE Renaldo Wynn says Rams DC Gregg Williams admitted to stealing a copy of the Jaguars playbook and using it to game plan against them in the 1999 playoffs (PFT)

Wynn says Williams boasted about it to him when he came to play for him (likely with the Redskins). He also indicates it wasn't an isolated incident, saying that Williams made a habit of "getting playbooks" when he was playing for him.

Might it have happened when he coached the Saints, I wonder...

So at what point do we put a * next to the Saint's SB win? Oh right never, because the NFL still thinks their SB run was "a good story" after Katrina and they can't have too much to disrupt that narrative.

I'll say this...

If the day ever comes when Gregg Williams decides to sit down and openly confess everything he's done, there is going to be some major CYAing by all his prior employers.

And I will find every single moment of it absolutely hilarious :D

    • Jalen Coker spent less time on the field than XL between injury and the depth chart, and still finished with more receiving yards and the same amount of touchdowns.  And that doesn't even account for Coker's playoff game. XL sucks.  And I don't think any amount of hard work is going to make him a starting WR.  Because at the end of the day, the foundation has to exist, and unfortunately, XL just doesn't GET the position.
    • Dude is just living off his draft position and being a country boy.  Get a clue dumbass.
    • Yeah, that's rough. Like dude, you stayed on the starting lineup over a better WR for most of the season. It wasn't a lack of opportunities, it was a lack of you doing anything with the opportunities.
