2014 Mock Draft

1

ALLEN ROBINSON | WR Penn State (6’3 210)

Not available: Martin (OT), Kouandijo (OT), Lee (WR), Lewan (OT), Pryor (FS), Benjamin (WR)

Get the size-athleticism combo for a guy with great upside who can be an instant impact to this offense.  I love Beckham Jr. as well if the guys listed are gone.

2

JARVIS LANDRY | WR LSU (6’0 195)

We double tap on WRs early because of the value available.  There is a very solid group and one or two of the top-10 will be available in the 2nd imo.  Landry has arguably the best hands in the country.  If he isn’t there: D. Adams or Matthews could be and near the top of our board.  If not, I like Fuller (CB), Murphy (DE), and Richardson (OT).

3

BILLY TURNER | OT North Dakota St. (RT) (6’5 316)

Turner is a lineman to keep an eye on for our RT spot amongst the likes of Bitioni and Moses.  I think he’s a solid fit for us and is great value here.  Could be a 2nd rounder come draft day.

4

YES!àZACH MOORE | DE (6’6 285)

Remember this name.  Moore seems very much like a Gettleman type and is a strong fit in our defense.  He can line up at multiple spots on the line and plays with great tenacity.  His draft status will definitely be rising and overall had an extremely strong collegiate career.

5

WALT AIKENS | CB Liberty (6’1 205)

Another prospect that seems like a solid Panther mold.  There are some quality articles on this guy and looks like a possible fit in our D backfield.

6

BENNETT JACKSON | CB Notre Dame (6’0 187)

7

DEZMEN SOUTHWARD | SS Wisconsin (6’0 206)

Rounding out the draft with the secondary in mind.

Thanks for including pics of hot girls instead of prospects!

Love the double dip at WR. I keep meaning to put together a mock and I have Robinson in the first too. I'm most likely going Moncrief in the second, and think Landry will be gone by our pick.

As much as I want them to double dip at WR, I just don't think it happens. We pass on WR's all the time. Ya Gman has only had one draft but still. History has me in a "see it to believe it" state of mind when it comes to drafting a WR.

If the value is there I don't mind double dipping just like last year, I don't know zach Moore but I like billy turner and Bennett Jackson

That's the thing. We mentioned it in another thread but there's a really good possibility that the guys with the highest value in the first and second will be WR's.

I like it, would ASJ be available in the first?

I'd love a WR/TE tandem.

ASJ is tempting as hell and I'd love to sneak him.  I went the Robinson route here but you'd have to think as the process unfolds and post-combine, ASJ will climb up some boards.  His abilities and size are just too good to pass on so he's definitely in the picture for us.

doing some research on Walt, because he is a long athletic CB with good feet(+++++++++). he is a local guy, coming from Harding HS in Charlotte.

I noticed that as well and being from a smaller school could be one of those prospects that pop out of nowhere a la Kugbila.

Who was your favorite team and player in the NFL and why?

"My favorite team was the Panthers because I’m from Charlotte NC and being a panther fan is a way of life here. I grew up being a fan. Fav player was donte hall because it was exciting to watch him play. He always did something to electrify the crowd!"

That's what I'm thinking and did this from a pure value based prediction.  The top player on our board could very well be a wideout come picks 28 and 60 and from Gettleman's conferences, he seems to have his big board and when the pick comes, pick the guy at the top of it remaining.

Nice format with the fine looking women. That blonde f'n fine as hell. wow.

Draft wise, I really like it.  Gotta look up the Moore guy.  You pretty much filled all of our needs in a good way without grabbing any high paid FAs so this is fo sho realistic.

2 Wrs, an RT, 2 CBs + a SS late like Rivera likes em, a starting FA CB, and o-line depth via FA.

Thanks.  Moore is a player who I'm very interested in following this offseason.  I went for a realistic approach with our free agents because I just don't see us grabbing one of the big names.  The more recognized names all have their respective downsides and I just don't see many of them as Panthers.
