Because it doesn't match what you think, it's automatically stupid, and idiotic?

Many people seem to disagree with you top dawg. So they are all stupid?

that's not what he meant.  he meant it would take you 3 days to argue your way out of a paper bag.

it is not what I say it is what he does or in this case waht he does not do.Your hands scale is probably different than most.

he is probably the 20th or lower WR on the board.

Put your money where your mouth is then. Friendly bet that there's 19 receivers drafted before Brandon Coleman?

Didn't think so....

Thanks for the input, and kind words. It's cute that people can hold internet grudges for so long.

no, you're living in some fantasy..  no one cares enough to hold a grudge.  I was merely pointing out why you may be feeling some resistance in so many different threads.  There is one common factor.  An honest appraisal never killed anyone..

Um, I think it was a little more than just 2 people here that wanted Tavon Austin, lol.

And a lot less than "the huddle"

Or even close to a majority.

I think I like OBJ over Cooks if we are going for a smaller vertical threat WR (38" vert....) but  Austin was a complete reach and Cooks is going to go later where he should(and where Austin should have went).

Cooks at 28 is fine, as is OBJ, Matthews, or whoever else Gettleman decides to pick because it's really that close on some of these guys.

Red, many people agree that you are a troll, make nonsensical arguments, and misconstrue their words in order to go off on tangents and derail threads also. Moreover, since you seem to have a continued confusion about the problem that many people have with you, let me use this thread as an example:

You are the one that said people should stop trying to find the next Steve Smith because they like what Brandin Cooks brings to the table. No one else said that but you. Steve Smith had nothing to do with the discussion. You are also the one that called people Marty Hurney for liking what Brandin Cooks brings to the table.  You said that.  It's nonsense.  Hurney is irrelevant and has absolutely nothing to do with the discussion of Brandin Cooks. People looking for the next Steve Smith or trying to be Marty Hurney isn't based on anything germane to Brandin Cooks' viability to be a successful pro receiver, or our 28th pick.  Few, if any, agree with that notion.

Now, where people do agree with you is that the Panthers need to draft bigger receivers to try and mitigate Cam's problems with throwing the ball high. Where Steve Smith may come into play as the fact that he is short and Brandin Cooks is short, and that maybe people just don't want two short receivers on the team (or any short receivers on the team after Smitty retires). If you has presented your argument from that perspective, then it would have made sense. Indeed, I have mixed feelings about the matter, as I have alluded to being enamored with size at not only the WR position, but the CB position as well (and I have threads/posts that have said as much).  Where "many people may seem to disagree" with me is that we need to give Brandin Cooks more serious attention, notwithstanding his short stature. I understand that opinion though I disagree with that opinion specifically as it pertains to Brandin Cooks. I even respect the way that some have expressed that opinion. What I don't respect is gratuitous nonsense. I also don't respect putting words in peoples' mouths or attributing stupidity, outlandish notions, or outright lies to my fellow huddlers' rational and respectful opinions that they put forth.

In my opinion, you need to stick closer to the issues in your discussion, and stop acting like your opinions based upon the issues (when you decide to stick to them) are any more or less legitimate than anyone else's who has equally (or more) compelling arguments.

    • To kick this up, The Athletic has a really comprehensive piece out where pretty much all QB questions are addressed. It is worth seeing.  https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7083539/2026/03/04/starting-quarterback-projections-free-agency-draft/?source=user_shared_article I’m putting something specific here but it should have a thread or something. It is an extensive exercise.  This is a dense write up with a lot of column inches used, about the Jets and Murray and Reich, all this stuff.. then it goes to backup QB and there is Dalton.  I am pasting that part: As for Dalton, Reich is installing the offense he was trying to run in Carolina in 2023 before he got fired, and Dalton was with the Panthers then; he’s an ideal option as a veteran backup to replace Taylor. Reich said this about Dalton in 2023: “The way he's throwing the football, the way he works through progressions, the way he handles the operation. … Since day one (when) he walked in the door, I'm like, 'This guy is starter-worthy.' You guys know I've said that all along. He's, in my opinion, one of the best 32 quarterbacks in the world.” ——— That’s true love lol. I never heard any of this. Pretty crazy I think, considering how the year went.   Anyway the dream is not dead. .
    • The Seahawks traded for wide receiver/returner Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline. He proved to be a key acquisition. Shaheed returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in the regular season and had a 95-yard kickoff return in the postseason. Shaheed, though, is scheduled for free agency. So, the 12 games he played, including the postseason, might be the extent of his time in Seattle. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Shaheed and the Seahawks are not close to an extension, and the expectation is that the two-time Pro Bowler will hit free agency. Shaheed has 153 receptions for 2,243 yards and 12 touchdowns in his four-year career to go along with three punt return touchdowns and a kickoff return touchdown. He ranks 13th on PFT’s top-100 free agents. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-rashid-shaheed-appears-headed-to-free-agency
