San Diego St. RB Adam Muema leaves the combine for "religious reasons"

I don't see the need to personally insult him over this. I wouldn't have done it, but hey, it's his life.

there are many foolish men here! bashing someone for "not" be a non-believer actually justifies him and any other Christian. He's clearly not the one with the problem its the sheep that actually think they have free will. Ironically all this is written yet the foolish will ignore! What has been written to come is happening before our very eyes yet they will ignore. The agenda is to unify all "without" religion yet they will not understand this. Those that are controlling these sheep piggyback society issues to force the society in believing wrong is right and right is irrelevant!   (2 Thessalonians 2:5-12)   Unless one test religion/JESUS/GOD/HOLY SPIRIT "wholeheartedly" for themselves, they are foolish to speak on what they don't know. Hypocrites! Not to mention they don't want problem players here either! That alone is a contradiction. Hixon for example, caught a tremendous game winning catch and gave Glory to God, no one called him crazy! They celebrated victory without question. Cam references God many times, no one has done so with him either. Not mention Thomas Davis & Jon Beason who have a spiritual connection in faith, Steve Smith who washed feet as Jesus did, J Stew who even goes to my church, and certainly several more. Hypocrites!

To be fair, if Hixon, Newton, Davis,etc... say they aren't going to play in a key game because god told them if they don't then the Panthers will win the Super Bowl, I'd question that too...

Muema, 21, said his immediate plans are undecided. "(God) told me to sit down, be quiet, and enjoy the peace," he said.

Muema said he communicates with God through numbers.

His deep religious convictions are no secret to those close to him. The beliefs are evident on social media, where he often quotes scripture on his Twitter account. His Facebook and Instagram accounts include several links to a person titled "Lord Ray-el," who claims online to be the second coming of Christ.

Muema said Lord Ray-el means "the word of God."

Sounds like a normal well-adjusted guy

Yeah, we don't need christians in the NFL..Only homosexuals.

A lot of you really need to wake up and practice what you preach.

Gays tend to be better people than Christians. Most crimes committed in this country are by Christians, particularly rapes and murders. Historically it's been a big risk drafting them.

that's irrelevant and far from the what was originally stated about this man so your attempt at "fairness" is a lost cause. nevertheless, you're "justifying" your argument. the issue isn't about none of these guys not playing in a game because God said so. the issue is those who live without faith in God/Jesus have no desire to understand what the believer has been confirmed to do. Yes from the eyes of a worldly person without this understanding, it looks crazy but one must ask himself what harm is this "majority" doing to nonbelievers? essentially nonbelievers stamp the crazy label on anyone that thinks outside of what they fail to understand. Respectfully, some believers have indeed been confirmed and forget that they once too failed to have this understanding. I tell you friend, if you only knew how coming to this understanding has changed my life, you'd seek him too... HE has seriously saved my life and I can't help but share the good news. The more I share, the more HE reveals. Its awesome. Its nothing like God showing you something before it happens. It requires a relationship, not  testing HIM. but to answer your direct question, I can't speak for how far any of those guys would go to serve the Master. Let's say your example were the case: it would be wrong in the eyes of those that can't relate. On the contrary, they could disobey and run into another circumstance that could change their life by doing what the Master has told them not to do. So your question is all a matter of their true faith. As stated before every voice isn't the voice of God so the believer should confirm however admire his faith in what he believes. We'll see! Image if everyone committed to instruction: there would be no stds, drugs, violence, infidelity, lack of trust, no waste of money, etc.  Don't get it twisted though, many put their direct needs/job before God and that's the reason why they feel seeking him is foolish. He is in control even in those people and often breaks them down to grab their attention to redirect their lives. I'm one of them! He has shown me to much for me to turn my back now. Moreover he has confirmed much of what he has shown me with those around me. This is not by chance. The things of this world are passing away, even football. Thus God does direct the path of His children, those that seek Him. Taste and see for He is good. God bless
