The best single season offensive performance in Panthers history was...

Matt Foley

This is a hard choice anything 2001 and before is sketchy to me i remember fewer games. My vote goes to Smith 2005. He was the majority of our offence. I remember that year it was like "ok jake throw the ball to smith and just let him score, i dare them to try and stop us." It was great just to watch him in the giants, bears, and lions games.

easily Smitty. Triple crown on a team that ran more than passed. Outside of Art Monk, who else in NFL history can make that claim?

amen. Smitty is my number one on the list, with D'lo, Stevie B, & Stevie D all tied for 2nd.

I bet DeAngelo can surpass his numbers from last season imo.

    • In my ideal scenario, you are working Tmac, XL, and Coker all through the slot at times.  Not limiting it to Renfrow.  Renfrow shouldn't take ATs role because neither need that volume of snaps.  Easier for everyone to get open in the slot.  Especially youngsters.  Renfrow should just be the one running the stereotypical slot routes when needed.  I think Horn is a next year player
    • The reality is that teams don't have 3 qb's because they are "developing" for the future. The only development going on is qb1 unless they are a 5 plus year vet. They bring in qbs in the offseason as a camp arm that may upgrade your backup or to replace the starter if there isn't one. If your team needs a starter the draft is the best way, not free agency.
    • On one hand, Renfrow being out for as long as he has makes me question whether or not he can take on a full season. AT is older, but might have more in the gas tank than Renfrow does currently. On the other, Jalen Coker and Jimmy Horn Jr can both rotate in as the slot for Renfrow. It's a nice position to be in where the Panthers maintain all of the leverage.
