Trade Hardy for?.....

And hardy was ??? ( good in the playoffs ) ... Seattle and pats are the only teams to stop jimmy .. Hardy got most of his sacks on who ? Back up talent level left tackles other then that he was shut down .. Not worth 15 mill a year hardy

Fwiw, that is true with the vast majority of defensive ends, even the really good ones.  Take the leading sack man this year for defensive ends, Robert Quinn.  The majority of his sacks came in 5 games.  First game against Seattle, Arizona, Tampa, New Orleans and Indy.  Two teams that suck, one that has a qb that runs around a lot, one that had a beat up offensive line.

The more important question is how does a guy like Hardy disrupt the other teams game plan.  While I am not sure he and Johnson are worth all the money they will get paid, the pair of them together will be something that other teams will have to account for.

Don't get me wrong, I would have loved to see us spend some of that money on upgrading the offense, but I do feel that our defense is a lot better with Hardy than without him.

Veldheer is a FA, correct?

Guess they would have to tag him also to be able to trade him?

Anyway.

I would like a first rounder, or a 2nd and 3rd.  Cheaper than taking on other guys contracts at this point

Yeah, they'd have to tag him.

I am just trying to think outside the box.  There are many roads to Rome.

Veldheer is young and we'd be able to work out a long term deal for some long term security for Cam's blind side.  Give me an extra 2nd to use on one on the BPA at one of the positions of need---and throw Moore in the deal---and we'd have something to work with.  A second in this years draft may be golden.

Dion Jordan is a bust and the Dolphins are just hoping they can find someone idiotic enough to trade something of value for their draft bust like the Cleveland Browns found in the Colts for their own bust Trent Richardson.

I'd love Mike Wallace, but I wouldn't love that contract.

Trent Richardson didn't start playing like a bust until that trade.

not sure if we are going to trade him, my guess is we play hard ball with him and try to work a longterm deal with him

meanwhile cutting Godfrey and Dwan will give us just enough money this year to resign Cap, Ginn and Mitchell

possibly Steve takes a paycut but I don't see that either

next offseason we work on extending Cam

also at this point nicks is at a 0.001% chance to be signed simply don't have the money

Holy poo, you're stupid. Graham is no different. He disappears when he faces an actual defense and he can't block worth a damn. Jimmy isn't a Calvin Johnson type of player at all.

Hahahahahahahaha .... Graham lead the nfl in tds ... Not sure how that poo is stupid ....:/

Point? He was nonexistent against The Patriots, Niners, Seahawks, Rams and to a certain extent... us. Why the fug do I care? He can pile up stats against the lower competition for all I care but 'elite' players show up when real poo is on the line instead of talking.

the same could be said about hardy too. don't forget 8 sacks against shitty tackles the last two games

How great of a season did we have in 2010 after we let JP walk...with Charles Johnson? Oh yeah, we went 2-14. We had pro-bowlers Beason, Kalil and Gross.

Yeah, yeah, TD was hurt and We had no QB, but we ended up with the 26th best defense.

Forget about trading Hardy!!! You all should be praying we get to keep him for at least the next 5-8 years!!
