Well...if YOU say so.

Okay before you shoot down everybody's concerns who's going to replace a pro bowl LT? A rookie? incase you haven't read the news all the elite tackles seem to be going elsewhere which leaves us with huge downgrades from Jordan Gross, that's not panic or over reaction that's fact.

not trying to derail the thread - but it Byron Bell is the starting LT next year; the panthers will win 4 games.

Not strange, economics.

If you have only $300 available per month, are you gonna buy an $80k Mercedes or a $15K used Toyota? Economics dictate the latter

Depends on your preference, don't tag hardy sign an elite LT or tag him and end up with no money and play some average guy there, I guess there arguements for both sides of it, I just think LT is a little more important than another overpaid DE, not complaining bro just my preference.

Understood, but we would need to trade Hardy for picks very soon or the top FA's will be gone

Well at tackle which is a huge need for us they seem to have gone, the top guys anyway. I worry because that line was so bad apart from Hross and kalil, to plug in a rookie or average guy is so risky.

Surely we only tagged hardy if a longterm deal is close? Otherwise why use up most of our cap therefore handcuffing ourselves?

    • Svechnikov and I'm voting cause I'm pissed.
    • He had games where he was a top 10 QB that week, vs Saints, Falcons, Eagles, Chiefs, Bucs.  Amazing performances that I think show what he can do consistently.  He must play with confidence to overcome physical limitations where someone like Cam can struggle all game and then win the game at the end by running someone over. Bryce won’t be that and I am fine with it, it’s time for us to move on to the new era. It’s been 5 long years.
    • We both know there's more that goes into batted passes than just the height of the QB. Most people here have readily acknowledged this and there were numerous discussions about it before we drafted Young. But if you are presenting a POV that Bryce's height hasn't tied to issues with his footwork then there's nothing anyone is going to be able to say to sway you and you know this. Even beyond the footwork I recall a redzone play where Bryce couldn't see around his right tackle at all where a receiver was waiting practically alone in the end zone for a touchdown. There are real world circumstances that are going to show up over the course of the upcoming season and it's up to Bryce and Dave Canales to make adjustments and do anything they can to mitigate negative instances and yes that begins with Bryce's footwork again. Thanks for your time. Have a nice weekend.
