My perfect scenario would be to work something out with Steve Smith, and sign Nicks to a reasonable deal.

I'm hoping multiyear deal. Nicks is a good receiver and always has been. No need for him to "prove" it. I'd rather have him for next 3 season catching 5+ TDS and 1000 yards each year rather then having that for just one season and losing him due to his price.

Hardly 2 years ago the guy averaged 7 catches, 111 yards, and a touchdown in 4 playoff games. Ill go out on a limb and say hes still a very good receiver
