Annnd the collective peddling on Gettleman's cock by his fanboys, begins again I see.

thats your perspective here?  Gettleman has fan boys?  I've yet to see anyone really step out on the ledge in defense of him.  More so people choosing not to fret over the first week of FA.  Most of us understood when we had 28 UFAs and Gettleman stressed we were strapped for $$$ and we have major financial priorities on the horizon(Cam, Luke) that we wouldn't be major players for big name guys on the market.

Not everybody throws the season because the bottom middle of the roster turns over.  The top guys on the roster are still here.  But I guess we all have our different idea's on team building.

So should we all jump off a bridge?

People didn't think the MItchell signing was worth a poo, most people didn't think the Ginn signing was a big deal except for special teams.

Now those guys got multi year contracts because of their performances.

You know what the beauty of these 1 years contracts are?  These guys are playing for their futures in the NFL so you know you are going to get 100% effort.

Not saying he can do no wrong.  Maybe he just imploded the entire franchise by cutting one player.  But I will judge him in December.  Not March.  Until then I will go on past performance which happens to be a 12-4 season.

We still have our front 7 and Cam Newton.

im pretty sure you don't ever trade your franchise QB, #1 overall selection, coming off one of his best years yet where he won the division, has had 3 great years for a young QB (showing improvement in each), had a bunch of come from behind wins.  Not for a single top 5 pick, maybe for some Hershel Walker deal, but never for a fuging single pick.

Cam Newton is worth as much as most team's entire drafts.  QBs of his caliber don't grow on trees...

Somebody didn't watch Cosmos last night.

Yeah you sure were right about that, boy did you show us.

so you're telling me you would trade Cam right now for the #5 pick in the draft?

I wouldn't trade him for the #1 pick in the draft. There's nobody in this draft close to Cam imo.

back in October..yes

not sure right now.  Top five spells out a lot of cash and press for a franchise and since the rookie limits were put in place with the last CBA most of the risk is virtually gone for going to the well again and again.  Hence, make hay unless you have Manning or Brady.  The rest are line items and expendable.

You get all the hype of the new guy who may change the world plus all the jersey sales and media coverage that goes along with it.

As far as Cam today.. not so sure as I was last fall.

This draft is deep so the top five pick would hopefully get parlayed into two first rounders hypothetically, but after watching Cam down the stretch last season and considering how the Panthers have really opened the franchise up and handed him the reigns, he probably is one of the few in the league you don't trade for a top five today.

I look at the biz side first.

Also, king is a down the field kind of guy, could surprise some people.

Now the SEC is no NFL, that is apparent.

But King was a dangerous, dangerous weapon in the SEC.  His speed isn't gonna "blow the top off" of a defense, but the kid was great with the ball in his hands.

Yeah, less than a week ago Voth was blogging that we'd all be surprised what's in store if it all worked out. Obviously it hasn't.

Honestly, we might as well start a bunch of rookies at this point. If we can't even get Cotchery who can we get.

There is nobody reliable left, were literally left with throwing turds at the wall. If Gman gets production out of whomever he signs he deserves a damn raise.

if this doesn't get better which looks like a small chance at the moment i want every single one of you posting it's only march to step forward..............this is just like procrastination in high school or college, waiting the last minuet to get things done is not something you wanna become accustom to

I have said it before and I will say it again, dg is more concerned with sustained winning than just this upcoming season.

Sent from my LG-LS840 using CarolinaHuddle mobile app

Would be good to get our first back to back winning season.

It wasn't me making such asinine statements about our quarterback before the team was even midway through the season.

You should probably think about that before calling others dumb.

    • An odd little vibe I've noticed here of late: some folks are "all or nothing" to an absolutely extreme level when it comes to Bryce. There are, in fact, things Bryce does well. Likewise, there are areas in which he's improved over his time here. He has, on several occasions now, legitimately helped us win games. On the flipside, there have been failures in other areas as well as coaching that we're not in any way his fault.  And finally , it is also genuinely possible that the team may see him as the future, even if we don't. The craziest part, though? It's actually possible that they're right and we're wrong. All of this is true, and more, yet if you accept any of these premises people go from zero to apesh-t in under three seconds 😳 Anything less than total disavowal of Bryce and / or agreement that he's the worst QB of all time and suddenly you're a "stan". Oy 🙄 The reality though?  Bryce is indeed an NFL quarterback. Not a great one, probably backup level good, and I've seen way worse. Now, if you run that statement through your personal Google translator and it comes back with some version of "I want to throw 50 million a year at Bryce for the next 10 years", that's not really my issue it's yours  I don't wanna make him the franchise quarterback, but it's not my call. Win or lose, the team is going to do what they think is best. And as always, if it disagrees with what I think we should do, I'm gonna hope I'm the one who's wrong. Internet clout means nothing. Watching my favorite team win at my favorite sport meas fun 😁
    • I like Icky but he was the wrong tackle to take. Learning run blocking is much easier than learning pass blocking. Cross was pass pro ready. He was the tackle we should have taken without hesitation.
    • Never saw this angle of the Tyson fight either lol.
