Here are our starting 11 on offense if we sign Cotchery and draft Cooks

Only alternatives to this starting 11 would be an offensive lineman rookie from the 2nd round or a scrub free agent. This is where we are currently....IF we sign Cotchery and IF we draft Cooks. Drafting Ebron or an o lineman in Round 1 would change things of course.

i am well aware. the whole point of this thread is to show how weak our offense is. I am just saying  we haven't ever gotten to how bad our corners are yet either. doesn't look good right now.

I know! Let's make a thread and leave out starters from a season ago, like Kugbila, and put some random WR rookie with a loaded rookie class and assume he will be the only player we draft.

We'll also leave out players that our front office has told us to be excited about, like King and McNutt and leave them off as well.

Even if we draft a lineman in the 2nd round (assuming we go WR Round 1), we would be looking at an offensive lineman made up of a rookie 2nd round pick, #60 overall. Might not be able to start immediately, #60 overall is no guarantee he ends up being a solid player either.

OK, so if we take a WR in round one we are virtually guaranteed to not have any other OL starters start for us who are not currently on the roster in spite of the fact that FA just started and there will still be camp casualties?

 

Im not so sure, but if you are right there is no way in hell a smart man drafts a WR in round one.  We pretty much would have to get an OL and trust the depth of the draft to give us a playmaker in the later rounds.
