Kenny Britt visiting Carolina

If he does that, than he truly is a moron.

He could redeem himself and explode here. Would probably get board/ frustrated and go full retard GTA style up there.

I disagree. If he spent a year in Buffalo stayed healthy and stayed out of trouble, teams would be willing to give him more money next year.

If he came to Carolina he'd be asked to put up numbers without much help around him. He could fly under the radar in Buffalo with Stevie Johnson and Robert Woods there and quietly have himself a nice year. It's going to be hard to get WR's to come here on prove it deals because its not a great situation. Britt would most likely face the number 1 corner on most teams if he came here.

Driving around drunk is just as bad.

It's just as bad if you kill or hurt someone doing it.

Most people I know have driven buzzed before in their life.

A guy could have 2-3 beers at a sports bar watching a game Sunday and get ticketed for DUI at a checkpoint.  That doesn't make them a bad person to me.  It just makes them caught.  Almost everyone has done that.

Driving around plastered is a different story though.

Seems like the strategy is, bring in as many WR's as possible and see which ones step up.  Nothing wrong with getting a bunch of hungry young players and letting them fight it out.  One is bound to contribute.  Cotchery is really the only proven guy so far...

On April 12, 2011 Britt was arrested in New Jersey on three counts (including a felony) following an alleged car chase with police. The charges were later reduced. On June 7, Britt pled guilty to careless driving and was fined. On June 8, 2012, Britt was arrested in Hoboken, NJ, charged with resisting arrest. On January 13, 2013, Britt's close personal friend was involved in a stabbing and Britt reportedly drove him to the Jersey City Medical Center. When police attempted to ask Britt about the incident, he was allegedly not willing to cooperate. The incident marks the ninth time Britt was involved with police since he joined the NFL.

Seems like he has a serious problem with authority. Pot doesn't bother all that much, but this just doesn't read like a guy JR would want here.

Sounds like the team just needs to hire a driver for him.

Like I said...as long as he doesn't rape, kill, steal, or beat a women....I don't care.  Hire the dude a driver, and make it part of his contract.

Posted this earlier in the thread...

Agent Pat Dye Jr. says @buffalobills & @Panthers have expressed interest in WR Kenny Britt & visits may be taken with those teams (CONT)

It cites his agent, and this thread came moments after that tweet.  No where has it been stated definitively that he is coming here for a visit.  The Huddle is frantic and crazed for news right now, and as a result, completely obfuscate facts for discussion's sake...

That's my issue...  these threads are taking on their own life with nothing substantial behind them...  It's pretty frustrating.

There is a huge difference between fan speculation and discussion about it and fan speculation stated as fact and then people fapping to it in unison.

Well PD......at least it doesn't mean he's not going to visit.

Why is keeping him out of trouble the team's problem? Perhaps he should grow up and accept the fact that he's accountable for his own actions. Drunk driving is a big deal to me, so is "buzzed" driving.

    • I don't think Dave touches the defense. That might be a mark against him but definitely a huge red flag for evero. He refuses to run anything other than soft zone and when you don't get pressure that's an awful scheme
    • You don't have to convince me. I think not picking up the option should absolutely be firmly on the table but I just do not see Tepper and Morgan doing that for previously stated reasons. Therefore I'm not going to bother entertaining the notion. Just hoping we actually get real viable competition. If that doesn't happen at the minimum then my perception of that is complete and utter professional malpractice.
    • It was absolutely a catch, and I can’t believe how many folks were stating, before the NFL’s apology, that the overturn was the right call.  The ultimate question in this case is this: can a player complete a catch with only one hand? Of course, we all know the answer to that question, and it is an emphatic “Yes.” T-Mac maintained complete control with one hand (believe it was the right) while the other came off when the ball hit the ground. The ball was in the same position in the one hand (watch T-Mac’s fingers in relation to the NFL shield on the ball) after touching the ground as it was when it first went to the ground. Going back to the question above, if one hand can establish control, then there was no need for the other to stay on the ball, so long as the ball doesn’t move in that one hand that stays on it   It blew my mind that they overturned this in the first place. This should not be a “We got it wrong on the replay because there wasn’t clear and convincing evidence.” This should have been, “That was absolutely a catch.”
