Rivera says Steve Smith wasn't a distraction

Why do you people think how fast Smitty got picked up after his release is any indicator of his value to the Panthers?

Peyton Manning did 20x more for the colts then Smitty did for the Panthers, but the colts released him because they felt like it was time. The Panthers felt like it was time, so they released Steve Smith.

It's really not that fuging hard to comprehend.

Lol yea and they replaced him with a #1 draft pick in Andrew Luck, not a 31 year old #3 WR. O yea and they Peyton guy, turns out he can still play some football. Setting fuging records and poo that's all.

And you're too god damn stupid to realize she was being sarcastic and is almost as big a Steve Smith cry baby as you.

You are just sitting around waiting to spew more nonsense on the Smitty issue and that's all you talk about.

Please be done and go ahead and sell your PSLs while you're at it since Smitty clearly was the only reason you bought them. Although it's pretty hard to imagine a PSL owner who is a player only type of fan but yea...

Smitty isn't coming back and crying about it won't do any good and the act is old now for sure.

There are plenty of WRs in this draft that can replace Smitty on the field and in the locker room. What you whiners have is in your heart and the org certainly doesn't care about that. Smiths production is very much replaceable, even from a rookie.

As a matter of fact, a certain 3rd round rookie you always whine about us not drafting last year out did him. This years crop is even better.

I bought my PSL to watch a WR? That's the best you got?

Triple threat really you missed on that one.

So not only did you not get the sarcasm in her post but you also raved and whined for a rookie WR(Keenan Allen) who out performed Smitty then said rookies wouldn't be able to replace Smitty....

I'm not even tryin yet...

I wouldn't say we missed on Keenan Allen, as much as Gettleman just didn't want him. No excuse for it with as much time our team spent with him. People forget that before Kennan Allen got hurt he was the #1 WR in that class, he had no business going in the 3rd round and only fell because of injury. He was a top 15 talent.

And I'm not trying to decipher sarcasm, clearly I wasn't the only one that thought she was serious.

Also because I "whined" over not picking Keenan Allen and with him putting up the numbers he did, I suggest you start listening. You might learn something. I don't stick my neck out for just any player.

Yes I still believe Deandre Hopkins(when he gets a quarterback) will be a #1 WR in this league and will have a bigger impact than KK.

Yes I still believe we should have taken Keenan Allen in the 2nd.

I wouldn't take either over Star, and I can admit to being wrong about that.

Yes I would still trade 1st round pick for Josh Gordon.

No I wouldn't have cut Steve Smith, without seriously attempting to get him to agree to a pay cut.

Anything else?

Alright...  From what I was told they tried to trade him week 4 and had no interest from around the league at the time so they just let him go after the season...  Then my conversation got interupted with the guy who was telling me..  He is well connected with Charlotte sports...  Now flame away....

If this was true it means that the front office planned to tank the season when were on the early losing streak. Not at all surprising.

So you are taking back what you said about a rookie not being able to come in and replace Smitty? (which is what we are talking about btw)(and you just proved my point for me) Good

Anything else?

I'd take Allen over KK in the 2nd in a do over or live as well...I was one of the ones supporting you on the subject...hence the whole idea that a rookie CAN come in and contribute better than Smitty did last year....
