Lot of NFL players have connections to gangs..that's not really all that uncommon but I doubt he winds up here don't think JR wants to get involved with that.

Idk, I think part of this is a PR-job on behalf of the Eagles to drive his value down after his release.  No reports of concerns with the gang affiliations prior to his release...  There was an article done on his gang ties, but it was through Larry Brown Sports, IIRC, and that was awhile back.

 

They know he is still talented and want to scare teams off of him.  Seems like there were some personal issues between him and the front office as well... 

 

Who knows?  But, as long as he hasn't Aaron Hernandez'ed anyone, I want us to get him.

adam schefter just made a very interesting point and i think accurate point...said that the eagles were shopping him and had plenty of time until the draft to wait and see if anybody wanted to trade for him. So it wasn't that they couldn't find a trade partner. And the fact that they released him today was because they didn't want to be the team that traded him away either. If other teams want to sign him now, that's on them. The eagles don't want to be connected or associated with him in any manner...even as the team that traded him to another.
