The long term solution at RB

Hard to say Stew is going to be our back for the next 3 years. Only once in the last 4 years he played all 16 games. The past 2 years he's played a combined 15 games with a total of 141 carries. Very doubtful he holds up for a full season much less 3 as a feature back. We're going to need someone else. Whether or not that's Barner remains to be seen.

I disagree but we will see after 2014 how durable he is. IMO he gets 1,000 + yds this season and becomes the lead back.

You see all these vet RBs that were on the street waiting for a job? Yea. It's pretty easy to find a RB today.

I wanna hang myself looking at our 100mil backfield compared to what Ben Tate, Moreno, MJD, McFadden all got.

So much this. We could have the same exact backfield we have now and have signed Dax if we just gave our rbs what they were worth. Obviously they wouldn't be worth that now but you can't predict injuries. That still doesn't excuse over paying them at the time though

Hopefully Barner can develop into something, but what if a guy like Andre Williams is on the board in the 5th round?  Don't be shocked.

There is a reason the nations top RB will be on the board in the 5th - its because he can't catch the ball to save his life. With the amount of screens this offense runs, he isn't a fit in Carolina

Deangelo williams is 30 and Jstew cant stay on the field. With everyone talking about our need at wideout we have a need thats going to need to be addressed within the next 2-3 years thats going to conflict with the re-signing of keek and star. is kenyon barner the future at the postion? maybe if he bulks up some but i don't see he being in the league after his rookie contract is up. Is drafting a RB early really that out of the question?

First KB is not I repeat is not the answer. His size alone scares me. Next, I think we can address some needs (ie receiver and tackle) this year, we address backs next. DWill can carry us for another year with KB spelling him for a series or two ( I didn't say Stewart, stays hurt to much IMO).
