DeCoud is a little bit better than Godfrey in coverage. Signing him would give us advantage over Godfrey meaning Godfrey will have to take a paycut.

Maybe, Rivera is really going to move Godfrey to the nickle full time; cornerback at Iowa.

He started 15 games. I think he got a concussion in the 15th game though.

Just get Godfrey's current contract out. Replacing him with a former Pro-Bowler who may be able to return to form here, for a fraction of the price? All for it.

Oh, how quickly fans forget. Yes, DeCoud had a down year in 2013 (no pass rush) but he had a very good year in 2012. His biggest liability has been his tackling and he improved last year.

The dude was garbage last year. He is afraid to tackle and is soft. I think every Falcons fan would agree.

This would be a great signing.  I'm not sure if it would mean the end of Godfrey, but it would certainly help with some extra cash.

Regardless, if it means shredding Godfreys contract and bringing in an equally sub-par to mediocre safety I'm all for it.
