Jim Rome LOVES the Avant signing

I love Rome. He always says, "Give me two weeks. If you don't like the show after two weeks, fine."

His show is different than any other sports talk on radio. Way different. Once you become accustomed to the recurring jokes and themes, it really is hilarious at times. At worst it's still 100x better than local radio and ESPN BS.

I have to agree with this. It's sad what the general sports media have become.

I'm always amused at how by just bringing up Rome's name people come out of the woodwork to profess their hatred for him. Reminds me of Cam Newton in a way.

On another note, when the rumor started that Avant might be cut by the Eagles, Rome started the hashtag #SaveJasonAvant and within 20 minutes it was the number one trending topic in the world.

    • Biscuit in the Basket- when Carolina scores on a power play, you get a free Bo Berry biscuit.  Donuts at Home- when the NY Rangers get shut out at home, you get a free Krispy Kreme donut.
    • Evans really needs to be getting more PT. Especially over Sanders     Don't forget who our head coach is.
    • One of the only moments in his entire career where he actually impressed me was when he had the shimmer in his eye and grin on his face before that final drive on Sunday.  When I saw the look on his face I knew we were going to go right down the field and win.  You could see in his eyes he knew he had the game won.    I think a lot of that had to do with him knowing Rico was feeling good and the Packers defense was gassed, and not necessarily confidence in his own abilities, but I digress...
